Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, We Found Love, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will be removed shortly (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. 'WP:NSONG; until the song charts on a national chart, it does not get a page. Thank you.' - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 01:42, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We Found Love

What on earth are you doing? The article already existed, I had already written it, look here. The article has been re-directed for a reason, leave it that way. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 01:46, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict) Yeah, a re-direct means that the page is hidden, it doesn't mean that it hasn't been created yet. And no, don't edit that article again, otherwise you could be blocked. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 01:57, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at We Found Love, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 01:58, 22 September 2011 (UTC) Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at We Found Love. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You have been officially warned once, plus I have told you NOT to edit the article, but you have done so again. Carry on and you could be temporarily blocked. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 01:59, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, sorry again.. i didn't know that i shouldn't edit it. i just put the single's cover in the article. sry for my bad. so i should remove it? i got the cover from her facebook account. i'm just here to help. a little respect please. i got the message after the editing. Jesus! (Reza (Talk2Me) 02:00, 22 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]
(edit conflict) How? I told you not to edit it. "The article has been re-directed for a reason, leave it that way." No, don't edit the article, it has been reverted. Have patience and let the song chart, because until it does, it fails notability guidelines. Anyone can edit Wikipedia, but you really should acquaint yourself with the rules of Wikipedia first. Yes, you got the message after editing, but you ignored what I said and another editors warning, thus ignoring being warned. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 02:05, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I just wanted to help. what's a big deal to put that cover up there.. i didn't vandalism in that article... i just put the official cover in it. i didn't know that you call this a vandalism. i better off leave it and specially thanks for the warning. 2 and half year working here and get my first warning cause i put a cover in an article.
Sorry brothers!!! i didn't know that Rihanna asked you guys only to complete her pages. sorry. (Reza (Talk2Me) 02:16, 22 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Don't get all stroppy about it. Anyone can edit Wikipedia, but you must leave re-directed pages alone. End of. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 12:02, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not that it's any of my business really, but I'd like to weigh in here. Our beloved Rih Rih's song is going to be released today or tomorrow, it's notable and it's destined to impact the charts right away. The "No Charts, No Page" rule is good for the goose but never good for the gander: for example, Janelle Monae's songs "Lettin' Go", "Many Moons" and "Tightrope" have pages and they have never charted ANYWHERE on earth. I was allowed to create several pages for Cee Lo Green's singles before they charted and was left alone. But see, Cee Lo and Janelle Monae aren't as famous as Rihanna is. I'll never understand the purpose of redirecting something only to revert it a couple of days later but my theory is, once the musician is well-known enough, the rules are stricter and people get more inane about how they police "notability". "No Charts, No page" is a rule that's broken constantly for some artists, but never for others -- specifically the ones that are more high profile. See the talk page for Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory", for example. People argued for weeks about whether or not to create a page that was clearly going to be created. And then it was created. Just like "We Found Love" will eventually be reverted. In many ways, Wikipedia rules are mind-boggling but you HAVE to obey them. Do what the Wiki-thugs and Barnstar-collectors say, even if they break their own rules. Regardless, Reza, of how obtuse Wikipedia rules can be (and I agree that in this instance, this rule comes off insipid), you HAVE to obey them. You just have to. No matter how annoyed you get or disgusted you feel, you simply have to do as the higher-ranking users wish. It's a bitch, but you must get over it otherwise you won't have fun here. This website can be fun once you know your place among the other users. If I were you, I'd just quietly obey Calvin and Lakeshade. They have Barnstars and you don't. It's as simple as that. Hang in there.--mikomango mwa! 15:29, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Mikoism for your words. that's exactly what i meant. only because she's a huge pop star, it takes time to create a page. they have stars we don't have them and we should deal with it. Thank you (Reza (Talk2Me) 20:15, 25 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]

  • welcome menu?!?! seriously? i've been working and contributing here for almost 2 years. maybe i didn't create big pages like you guys did but i know the rules. thank you for respecting other users. i've never been disappointed like this in my life. thanks. (Reza (Talk2Me) 02:16, 22 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Actually, you made your first edit in 2008, which is nearly three years now, and you have only made 205 edits in those 3 years. And because you continued to edit a re-directed page after specifically being told not to, I'm sorry, but you clearly do not know the rules. And before yesterday, you last edit was August 4, 2011, and then you made a series of edits in June and July, but before that, you last edit 23 April, 2009. I was like you when I first started editing, and I learn't what to do and what not to do through other editors informing me of things I did wrong. I'm only trying to help you, because if you had of continued without being told, I'm pretty sure it would have resulted in you being temporarily blocked. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 12:10, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
first of all i was on holiday since august and right now i'm back. second, i joined wikipedia 2 and half years ago and then i forgot that i have an account here. so i was editing and adding information without my account like people come and go. then months ago i got an e-mail from wikipedia and i realized that i was signed up in here so i recovered my password and started editing and adding infos with it. that's why you think i was doing nothing. (Reza (Talk2Me) 15:03, 22 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Don't remove your warnings. If you want the page to not have them, set up an archive. Don't just delete info. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 15:09, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reza, "We Found Love" will be back up and running in no time. We're all beside ourselves with excitement and can't wait to put the news out for the world to see, but Rihanna is simply too high-profile for any I's to not be dotted and T's to go uncrossed. This isn't Ace Hood or Soulja Boy. This is the internationally recognized, hugest pop-star in the world right now, Rih Rih. The page will be created and it will be spectacular. Let the pros handle it. I love your enthusiasm for Rihanna though -- I adore her too!!!--mikomango mwa! 15:42, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would just like to point out, Reza, in case you didn't know, that Calvin is actually wrong. You're free to remove whatever you want from your own talk page, with the exception of a "Block Notice" during the duration of a block. You're free to remove warnings. FYI. Sergecross73 msg me 21:56, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm scared of doing it. you see how they react to what i've done. they gave me warning because i put cover of Rihanna's single. how lame is that?
they think they're the only person around here and responsible for those articles. they don't know it's a FREE Encyclopedia. they choose to be cocky and doing it all by themselves. thanks a lot Sergecross for your words but i'm gonna keep them for 2-3weeks then i'm gonna remove them from my talk page.(Reza (Talk2Me) 17:17, 17 October 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Well, its your page, you're free to do as you chose. It doesn't appear like Calvin is an Admin, and no rational admin would tell you what you can or can't put on your talk page, again, unless it was a block notice, or I guess if you were putting something offensive on there. There are no repercussions for removing things on your talk page. I took the liberty of removing it, so you couldn't possibly be blamed anyways. Feel free to re-add it if you're still worried, as it is your talk page, and ultimately your call. Sergecross73 msg me 21:44, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for your help. i removed these stupid stuff from my talk page. hope he won't come back and storming my talk page. and about that cover... it was Rihanna's new single cover which i was the first person to upload it and adding it to its article which you can find it here We Found Love. but they removed mine and nominated it for deletion and put their own upload cause they love her more than anyone around here. i don't know if there's anyone here to watch these people. they think they can do whatever they like cause they have barn stars and these bullshits. who cares? we're all here to help and it doesn't mean they're the only responsible members in this place for those articles. if i really could, i would write a complaint to the Admin and tell them how they behaved to what i've done and gave me a stupid warning. (Reza (Talk2Me) 15:29, 20 October 2011 (UTC))[reply]
In case you think I deleted the cover, I didn't. And it was deleted because it was non-free media and didn't meet notability standards. Album covers have to be free. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 15:34, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I wasn't involved in the Rihanna stuff, so it's hard for me to say much on that. (And personally, I stay away from the image stuff in general on wikipedia, with all the stipulations and whatnot.) All I know is that it's wrong of Calvin to tell you what to do with your own talk page. (He's free to have his own beliefs, but what he says is not backed up by wikipedia policy.) Sergecross73 msg me 16:12, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've been told to not remove threads or blank my talk page in my early stages of editing on wikipedia, so I don't think I am wrong as such. You're only wrong if someone tells you not to do something, and I have been told not to and you are saying you can. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 16:33, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you must have been dealing with someone who didn't know their policies too then. People are free to do as they please on their talk pages, except for a few minor things. Please read up on WP:BLANKING. I'm sorry, but policy trumps your stories and anecdotes. (Unless you'd like to point me to a policy that supports what you say.) Sergecross73 msg me 16:47, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I never said it doesn't, I simply said no one had ever said that you can blank your talk page. Therefore, I obviously thought I was right as no one had ever said that you can; although I do think it looks like you have something to hide and cover up by removing warnings, trying to make yourself look better. And I don't appreciate your tone of "policy trumps your stories and anecdotes". Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 16:51, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
you think i try to make myself look better by covering up by removing my warnings? first of all, it was just one, and second, it was just for some bullshit that you and your friends gave me that cause i put up a cover for an article. what are you people? the only one who tries to make himself look better is you, not me, so stop prattling around me. I don't know what's your problem with me but you know what you did that day to me and it was so fucking rude. everytime i think about it i'm getting so pissed cause i've been around this place for a long time, yes i didn't use my account and i was editing and adding infos by my IP and i never received any message from the board that i'm doing something wrong. thank you fro whatever you're trying to do, but please be nice to the people around here. people are free to add information to any article and it means you and your friends are not the only responsible members for specific article you're working on. me and Sergecross are working on Grace for Drowning article together, meanwhile people are coming and adding information about this albums, if it's reliable we let it stay and if it's not we remove them. not like you removing the cover art i uploaded for that article just because you wanted to do it by yourself. from now on, be nicer and polite to the people around this place. your're not the only responsible person, WE'RE ALL RESPONSIBLE.
i'm sorry if i lost my temper but i hope you understand how pissed i am about this stupid situation you put me through. (Reza (Talk2Me) 23:17, 20 October 2011 (UTC))[reply]
It's ok Sergecross. anyway thanks for your support. i really needed that. Thank you. (Reza (Talk2Me) 23:17, 20 October 2011 (UTC))[reply]
OMG, why are you so hell bent on thinking that it was me who deleted a cover you uploaded? Like I've said, I don't care who uploads the artwork and puts it in, I want the article to have the artwork! Sorry, but you're wrong on that. I don't even know how to delete uploaded pictures, in fact, I don't even know how to upload a picture. Like you said, if I don't think something is accurate, reliable or notable, I remove it, but if it is, then it stays. For example, I wrote the synopsis for We Found Love's music video, and an IP has c/e it for the better (restoring my faith a bit in IPs, because honestly, a lot of them do vandalise), and I thanked him for it. I'm not gonna be like "No, I wrote it, I will c/e it" and revert him, because that's stupid. Our perceptions of eachother, me and you, are very misunderstood, and that was the problem. Re: Heritage credits

Hi. The way you had the credits laid out didn't look very good. You've capitalised instruments that should not be capitalised (ie almost all of them), there's no need to have a "Sounding" heading (what does that even mean?), you've made 3 unnecessary/redundant headings that can easily be contained under a heading like "Additional personnel", you used bold text for a heading instead of ; or ===Heading===, you have the word "technical" were it doesn't belong ("Production" is sufficient), there is personnel duplicated among the sections (most notably Akerfeldt), some of the instruments/duties aren't wikilinked when they should be, you have strange amounts of white space hanging there, and I removed the source because the credits can be covered under WP:PRIMARY (which I incorrectly attributed to WP:SPS, my mistake). If you really think it's necessary to add the reference again, I guess you can go ahead, but don't put a little sentence saying "Source is this page here that I'm referencing right now", just put the reference next to, say, the first sub-heading.

The Beyonce page you linked me to isn't even a good article, so using it as an example isn't really all that convincing. Check out Reign in Blood, a featured article: it doesn't even have separate headings, and certainly doesn't have 5 different sections of personnel.

I'm glad that you want to improve the article, but in a case like this, if you want to make such large changes to the Personnel section, bring it up at Talk:Heritage (Opeth album), and we can see if consensus agrees with you. This follows WP:BRD, you made some bold edits, I reverted/fixed them, so now bring it up on the talk page and it can be discussed if necessary. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 00:36, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also

Wikipedia is not a place to list all tour dates. At most, a mention should be made of the tour (such as "Opeth is currently touring North America") and a source added, referencing a list of tour dates from somewhere reliable. I also fixed up the poor language you added in the Release section. Check out WP:DATESNO for information on how to format dates (we don't add things like "th" or "st" after numerals in dates). MrMoustacheMM (talk) 00:45, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • About the credits and Beyonce's page. i just gave you an example. beyonce's article gonna be a good article after a while, they still working and improving it. so don't be surprise if we using it as an example. so we should put each one in their own section and in the credits section nobody use ; or ===Heading=== they use bold text to separate them, i think it's very clear. but right now i went other articles. some of them were like you said and some of them are like what i did. so we keep it the way you said but do not remove the source that we got the credits. all the articles i've visited had the source. see this, it's a good article: The Fame Monster#Personnel
  • about the tour dates. if the tour had an article, yes you were right. for example, Rihanna's Loud Tour. before they created an article for it they included all the tour dates in the album's page. you can go to the history and see it [Loud History]. so right now there's no article for Heritage tour so we should include them in the album's page. if you're interested to creat an article for it, ok go for it and put them on it, but since there's no article we include them in the album's page. you said Wikipedia is not a place to include every tour date. actually it is, and thy include tour dates in the articles like the one i linked you to. so i reverted it back.
  • and about that poor language you said, i just copy pasted the sentence from the Opeth's official website, if you think it was poor go and blame that writer not me. (Reza (Let'sTalk) 08:57, 5 November 2011 (UTC))[reply]
The Beyonce article is current not a good article, and any hypothetical future status does not interest me currently. In virtually every album article I've ever edited, the article has always used either ; or ===Heading===. Take a look through my user contributions over the past two and a half years to get an idea of the number of album articles I've edited.
Per WP:BRD, I've reverted your tour dates and brought it up on the talk page, which you should have done in the first place. I don't think a separate article is required for these tour dates, unless the tour can be shown to be notable enough to warrant its own article. Loud (Rihanna album) is not a good article or featured article, so once again using it as an example doesn't help your case.
Instead of just copy-pasting, take the time to fix the language so it's readable. It would have taken only a few extra seconds to do. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 20:17, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, i don't know what's your problem and why you're bossing around this article. all you say is good good good articles. why you make such a big deal out of it? it's just freaking tour date. people come and go to this page. maybe some of them wants to know in which date the band would tour in their cities?
and about the credits. it's the rule of Wikipedia that you should say your source for whatever you're adding to an article. if you don't like it, just leave it alone. people need to know that we got this from this source. end of discussion for this one. if you remove the source I will report the vandalism. i gave you an example from a GOOD article but it seems you don't like it. you can go through other articles and check.
and about ; or ===Heading===. if you're doing it in any article or you did it before, you were wrong and i'm sure nobody noticed that. nobody use ; or ===Heading=== in a Personnel section to separate things. yes they use it for example in Reception section to separate Commercial and Critical section, or they gona use this in Charts and certifications section to separate Certifications, End of year charts, albums, singles and.... nobody use it in a personnel section. so if nobody noticed what you've done it doesn't mean you were doing it right and if somebody notice, i'm sure they would fix it. you've been around here for almost 2 years and i've been around here for almost 3 years next to my 4. i did many contributions on alot of albums pages and all of them got their way to the article except this one that you're bossing around it. don't judge by my edits which are too low. i was signed up here 3 years ago but i just forgot my password and then i forgot that i have an account here, so i was editing and adding infos by my ip address like other people. 6 months ago or more i got an e-mail from wikipedia, then i realized i have and acc here. so i recovered my password and started using it again. so if i were using my accounts all this time, i would have barnstars, my name was included in the top editors. so i said all these to tell you that i'm not an unexperienced person here and i do know the rules well as you know them. thank you (Reza (Let'sTalk) 21:11, 5 November 2011 (UTC))[reply]
I make a big deal about good articles (and [[WP:FA|featured articles) because they have been shown to follow Wikipedia guidelines and are, well, good articles. Picking random articles and saying "this article did it this way" isn't a good reason (who's to say that whatever random article you've picked has done it right? It could be just as wrong as what was done in the current article). You'll notice I didn't remove the source this time, but brought it up on the talk page (this is how contentious edits should be dealt with, discussed on the article's talk page until editors reach a consensus). While you're at it, check out WP:VAND and learn what vandalism is and isn't. While I'm willing to accept your edit on the Devin Townsend page was an accident, throwing around the word "vandalism" with established editors is never a sign of good faith. You'll notice that I have at no point accused you of vandalism.
While it's true people may want to see tour dates, I don't think Wikipedia is the place to see those. If someone wants to know a band's tour dates, they can check their official site or a site like Blabbermouth. Or they can read the section about Tour in the article, click on the reference given and go to that site. I think WP:NOTDIR applies here: "For example, an article on a radio station should not list upcoming events, current promotions, current schedules, et cetera". The analogy here being that listing tour dates on an article about an album would be a "list [of] upcoming events". If the tour's notability can be established, then perhaps the setup shown on your example Loud (Rihanna album), of a small section about her tour and a separate article about the tour itself, would apply. (However, I doubt Opeth's tours are really notable enough to have their own stand-alone article...an article such as List of Opeth tour dates might be considered notable, but there would have to be a lot of sources supporting its notability).
Actually, many articles use proper headings instead of just making bold text. Check out the Personnel section in the good article Nevermind (album). They use the semicolon method. So do these album featured articles (I picked a few at random): Achtung Baby, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californication (album), Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd album), Kid A, In Utero (album), and In Rainbows.
I notice that of all those good/featured articles, only one (Achtung Baby) sources the Personnel section, and instead of some pointless "These credits are taken from this source here<ref>" sentence, it simply adds the source next to the subheading (the semicolon). If having a source in the Heritage article is deemed necessary, that sentence should still be removed and the source simply used in the same way.
If you know the rules as well as I do, why did you add instruments with capital letters? Capitalisation rules are pretty basic. So is bringing up contentious issues on article talk pages instead of just reverting (WP:BRD). Anyway, this was not to get into a "I've been here longer or made more edits" war, but to explain that I have a good idea of what I'm doing, and rather than just getting into an edit war it's better to discuss these things, because maybe you don't know the rules as well as you think you do. Hell, maybe I don't know the rules as well as I think I do, but again, discussion is better. I'm glad to see that you've begun participating in the discussions I started on the talk page. Hopefully other editors join in and we can all come to a consensus on what is best. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 04:07, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, sorry for delay.

i have to be honest and i have to say that you really convinced me on some of your points and i don't have nothing to say about them anymore. but there are just some few things. about that heading part, all of the articles you linked me to, used the bold sentences they didn't use this (===heading===) thing. i think i did it wrong cause i used instead of ;.

and about that tour dates i don't have much infos about Heritage tour to make an article for it... maybe in future when more infos revealed about it.

about that sources i think we should keep it that way. let's see what other editors think.

anyway thanks for your time, and it was nice to talk to you. BTW thanks for convincing me. (Reza (Let'sTalk) 21:32, 11 November 2011 (UTC))[reply]

I'm happy that we can put this behind us. I didn't want to be antagonistic, but just to make the article the best it can be, potentially to become a good or featured article some day. I know you wanted this too. Unless any discussion comes of the talk page, I'll leave the Personnel source alone, I suppose it's not really hurting anything being like it is. Glad I could help! MrMoustacheMM (talk) 07:04, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do not mark my edits as vandalism when they clearly are not. Reverting unsourced information is not vandalism, and accusing me of it is a personal attack. If you do this again I will take it to WP:ANI. If you disagree with my reverting unsourced information then bring it up on the article's talk page. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 20:24, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

sorry i pressed it wrong. i didn't mean to report you. when i found out i pressed it i stopped the page but it seems the report went on. sorry for that if i pressed that wrongly. i thought nothing happened. i wanted to tell you about this. again sorry (Reza (Let'sTalk) 21:21, 5 November 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Alright, fair enough. We all make mistakes, so I'll forget this happened. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 22:56, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:52nd Grammy Awards poster.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:52nd Grammy Awards poster.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. License tagging for File:For The Good Times cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:For The Good Times cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:05, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited 49th Grammy Awards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Caught In The Act (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
