- Since you deleted it I cannot even get a chance to review what got removed, however I had transformed the words. Furthermore it was properly cited. I am going to add the content back in however I will make sure that it is even more transformed, which, by the way, is covered under US copyright law for fair use. In the future, please ask before deleting, or better yet just make changes. I RevolutionaryAct (talk) 16:22, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Backpage into Ken Paxton. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:55, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. I see that you added the attribution correction, so do I still need to add "copied content from Backpage; see that page's history for attribution" to the summary? Or is this for future reference? Thank you! RevolutionaryAct (talk) 22:03, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- I already added the required attribution for this particular instance. The purpose of my message is to show you how to do it yourself in the future. Thanks, — Diannaa (talk) 13:02, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
