User talk:Revolution Firefly
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Firefly (TV Series). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Jclemens (talk) 20:04, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Reasons why your addition to Firefly (TV series) is not acceptable
[edit]- You appear to have a conflict of interest. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to drum up support for your cause or project.
- It is not sourced to a reliable source.
- It doesn't describe any material change in reality. Plenty of people get together to advocate things, but don't spark any sort of a change. That's why we have a crystal ball prohibition. Wikipedia doesn't care if it "may be enough to motivate people into action." That's simply not an encyclopedic addition.
- Finally, Firefly is already a featured article, and additions which don't represent Wikipedia's very best work degrade its quality.
For all those reasons, as well as the three-revert rule issue, that material simply does not belong in this article. Jclemens (talk) 20:10, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- In general, if someone reverts your change it's best to ask why on the article's Talk page, rather than going "is too!". —Tamfang (talk) 08:21, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
