User talk:Revolution Firefly

Page contents not supported in other languages.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Firefly (TV Series). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Jclemens (talk) 20:04, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons why your addition to Firefly (TV series) is not acceptable

[edit]
  1. You appear to have a conflict of interest. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to drum up support for your cause or project.
  2. It is not sourced to a reliable source.
  3. It doesn't describe any material change in reality. Plenty of people get together to advocate things, but don't spark any sort of a change. That's why we have a crystal ball prohibition. Wikipedia doesn't care if it "may be enough to motivate people into action." That's simply not an encyclopedic addition.
  4. Finally, Firefly is already a featured article, and additions which don't represent Wikipedia's very best work degrade its quality.

For all those reasons, as well as the three-revert rule issue, that material simply does not belong in this article. Jclemens (talk) 20:10, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In general, if someone reverts your change it's best to ask why on the article's Talk page, rather than going "is too!". —Tamfang (talk) 08:21, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
