AfD nomination of Melody Rules

[edit]

I have nominated Melody Rules, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Melody Rules. When I saw your user ID, my first thought was that it meant you were skeptical as to whether the past existed or not. Have you heard the one about the dyslexic agnostic? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 10:34, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't directly answer the question, but I gather the answer is that you have, in fact, heard about the dyslexic agnostic. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 10:43, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphan tag/category

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you added both the {{orphan}} template AND Category:Orphaned articles to the Mack & Myer for Hire article. I just wanted to let you know that this is redundant, as the orphan template automically places the article in the category. Thanks, and keep up the good work!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 19:04, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Classic ABC: The Universal Masters Collection, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 04:10, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Attacks in the article Superstar Series

[edit]

Please do not make personal attacks as you did at Superstar Series. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images, especially those in violation of our Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons policy, will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Orphan

[edit]

Linked from "few or no" articles, apparently specifically being defined as "less than 3". So, just what does that mean? That if it's not linked from at least 3, it's going to get deleted? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 03:20, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion

[edit]

Hey, I was looking at He May Be Old, But He's Got Young Ideas, and I notice that you've got the line "can be found on various websites such as the internet archive." I think I saw a similar line on one of your other articles. Why don't you add a link to the song, or at least to that site, in an 'External Links' section? That'd be pretty useful to people. Also, adding some links to references would probably help, too. Have fun!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 16:56, 7 June 2008 (UTC) [reply]

The Monkees NPOV and cleanup tags

[edit]

When you add NPOV and cleanup tags to an article, please put a note on the talk page describing the problems with the article in your estimation. These tags can't be removed without a resolution of the discussion ... so the person adding the tags needs to initiate a discussion. It's most helpful if the initial topic is thorough and detailed. Thanks! Acsenray (talk) 21:14, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Betty Hutton Show

[edit]

Hi! I added a bit more info on this article you created. I had no idea the fabulous Betty Hutton even had a series! I'm going to have to find that DVD. Anyway, I basically just sourced this from things I found on the web, so if you have any reliable sources, please add them! Also, I'm not really sure about how many episodes were produced or aired, but TV.com says something 30 or 31. Does that sound right to you? I'd like to at least add an episode list or something to sort of round it out, I think those obscure old shows at deserve to be covered as accurately as possible. Pinkadelica 05:36, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your article question

[edit]

Hi, RA. The notability and importance of the articles is not an issue. The problem I see is that your articles have bare external links but no inline citations to footnote references and that's what is needed to prove verifiability and notability, especially with more obscure or esoteric subjects. If you placed these in your articles, and remove the what we call "peacocking" (terms like famous, best-selling, ect. are not allowed and will eventually be deleted), then the articles basically cannot be challenged in any way. If you would like me to lend a hand to give the articles standardized wikipedia footnote citations I will be happy to help if you let me know because I hate to see someone's good intention article contested or deleted. DuMont articles

[edit]

Hi Retro,

Thanks so much for creating so many articles on DuMont series. Please continue making them. :) However, please keep in mind to cite references so that the articles don't get tagged as unsourced. Please also use the manual of style when creating these: the names of TV series appear in italics, never "quotes". The first word in a heading gets capitalized; the rest do not. And it's not necessary (or advisable) to create headings or sections for individual sentences, as you've done here. Thanks so much for creating these stubs. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 08:37, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Let's Join Joanie.JPG

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Let's Join Joanie.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:22, 30 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 15:22, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Valley,

You left some comments on the talk page of this article, and made some edits which I don't believe were appropriate (added fact tags in the middle of quoted passages, removed a fully-cited paragraph and slapped a POV tag on the article, then left a message on the talk page, followed immediately by blanking that message). Please respond on talk:Fourth television network so I can figure out what the problem is. Firsfron of Ronchester 05:43, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Suddenly There Is a Valley! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 295 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Roy Lee Johnson - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 20:54, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

KHDF-CA

[edit]

Hi, I see you put a contradict flag on KHDF-CA in October 2008. I've just been looking through the article, and I can't see any contradictions. As there wasn't a note on the talk page, or in the edit summary, I've removed the flag. If you think it should still be there, please feel free to put it back and put a note on the talk page, explaining why. Cheers. -- WORMMЯOW  10:18, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Daddy, Come Home has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unreferenced, tagged since 2008

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fayenatic (talk) 19:05, 13 May 2011 (UTC) Timestamp: 20110507220610[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Payless Entertainment requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Epeefleche (talk) 03:36, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Spanish Notebook

[edit]

The article Spanish Notebook has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no significant, independent coverage of the topic (WP:N)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Hello! I proposed the deletion of Spanish Notebook. I do not believe the article could ever conform to notability guidelines, simply because the only two sources (after a quick Google) are the ones listed: a BBC archive page (WP:IS) and an uninformative IMDB page (WP:PSTS). Please don't be offended. If you can improve the article, please remove my tag and comment on my talk page. :) Denny1213 (talk) 16:35, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:1931 television series endings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
