[edit]Lily Wilder
[edit]Hi I’m a new page reviewer and I’ve just seen your recent article. I don’t think it’s a good idea to create a biographical article about a four year old girl. It is very likely to be deleted. Do you think you could rewrite the article so the focus us in the discovery and its significance rather than on her? Mccapra (talk) 09:02, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
Dear Mccapra, I agree with you. Please delete the page. Now, i'm more clear about the notability criteria of Wikipedia. Thank you. User:Researcherphd
Speedy deletion nomination of Lily Wilder
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Lily Wilder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Reference spamming
[edit]Hello, Researcherphd. We welcome your contributions, but it appears as if your primary purpose on Wikipedia is to add citations to research published by a small group of researchers.
Scientific articles should mainly reference review articles to ensure that the information added is trusted by the scientific community.
Editing in this way is also a violation of the policy against using Wikipedia for promotion and is a form of conflict of interest in Wikipedia – please see WP:SELFCITE and WP:MEDCOI. The editing community considers excessive self-citing to be a form of spamming on Wikipedia (WP:REFSPAM) and the edits will be reviewed and the citations removed where it was not appropriate to add them.
Finally, please be aware that the editing community highly values expert contributors – please see WP:EXPERT. I do hope you will consider contributing more broadly. If you wish to contribute, please first consider citing review articles written by other researchers in your field and which are already highly cited in the literature. If you wish to cite your own research, please start a new thread on the article talk page and add {{requestedit}} to ask a volunteer to review whether or not the citation should be added.

- I was mainly editing niche pages, which no one else want to improve. Now you can see since last 1 year in my absence, none of the Wikipedia editor has improved/edited an iota of content in the pages that i was editing (, including the pages i helped create) but later i was told that i was "adding citations to research published by a small group of researchers." The emerging fields are emerging because of a small group of researchers. That's what distinguishes them from the established disciplines. I'm going to start editing the pages from this year and wanted to bring it into everyone's notice. Researcherphd (talk) 06:12, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines and related Terms of Use
[edit]Hello, Researcherphd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. - Bri.public (talk) 15:24, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:08, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- I don't remember citing 'original research' however I'll have a look at it. Thanks for highlighting this issue, and help me learn. Researcherphd (talk) 03:49, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- I just checked it. How would you justify that the QS World Universities website/reports, whose statistics are being cited almost everywhere, is an "Original research [that] refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist"? I believe, it's a very reliable and objective source because if a university's ranking declines or improves it shows you quantifiable metrics that are driving it. And, that was precisely why it was cited. Isn't so? Researcherphd (talk) 04:03, 23 January 2023 (UTC)

December 2023
[edit]Hi Researcherphd! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Liu Sifeng that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.
