Handball

[edit]

Hello!

I was updating the squad of RK Podravka and came across some of the sites created or edited mostly by you. First of all, I would like say that it's great to have someone, who is interested in handball on the wiki. There are only a very few of this kind! However, since you are a newcomer, there are some issues I would like to tell you to avoid problems and a load of cleanup work in the future.

First thing is the WP:MOSFLAG, which says that flags are unneccessary and confusing in infoboxes, therefore they are not used. Neither for nationality nor for identifying the country a club comes from. (Actually, I also added them in the past, will take a good work to remove :)) I suggest to read MOSFLAG through, not a big something just a few paragraph – still, very important!

Second one is the linking. As I've seen you did not use the wikilinks to navigate from a page to another, but linked directly to the clubs official website, which brings you out from wikispace. If you link a player or a team, use wikilink form: [[here comes the team name]]. In the article of the club/player there will definitely be an official website listed among the external links (if exists), and the wikiarticle may also give more, or more relevant info about the topic.

At third, if you have a sources (like the one about the Metkovic cup), add it directly after the sentences to support the statement you made. It really get lost on the bottom between the external links. :)

A small thing is that if you write about the same happening on two different articles (I mean concretely the all-star team nominations of the players on the Metkovic cup), don't just copy and paste the sentences from one article to another. Try to reword it a bit :)

It might be a good idea to check out some of the well-written handball related articles to get a complete picture how a good article should look.

Once again, I'm happy to have you here, and keep contributing! If you have any question just drop me a line on my talkpage or here.
