Trying to get the Polychoral articles in better shape.

Main Spezzati pages as of today, 22 June 2012

Problem and suggested solution
[edit]
  • Merge VPS and VS(M), keeping VS(M) as main
  • Clarify Antiphon x Polychoral x Cori Spezzati. There's another container in this situation. CS is inside Polychoral, that may be or may be not inside Antiphon (although much of the polychoral music is antiphonal). So my suggestion is making a page for Polychoral in which Cori Spezzati will also be explained, and keep a paragraph/section on Antiphon to the Polychoral page. Cori Spezzati would redirect to Polychoral.
  • Check the four pages for the correct wordings they should use to point to each other.

Greetings! Your suggestions look good. I realize I was about to say almost exactly the same thing I wrote in 2010 here. Merging and rearranging would be fine. I also remember writing at least one article on a minor composer who used polychoral techniques in advance of the Venetians -- perhaps at Treviso? -- the name isn't coming to me right away. "Polychoral" needs to become its own article again. Here is the ancient draft I wrote (eight years ago now!). Cheers, Antandrus (talk) 14:24, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Nice! :) Yes, there are quite a few examples of polychoral pieces out and before the Venetian practice. Not that many, but enough to not notice Venice as the starting point. I'm glad you liked my suggestions. Could you help with redirecting the pages and the wikipedia-related things? I'm too noob for that, I'm sorry. I'll definitely edit the pages as soon as they're up!
