Plan: The two Examples at the bottom of the page are very similar and do not explain what type of counterfactual thinking they are examples for. We should add labels to clarify what type of counterfactual thought they are examples for (additive vs. subtractive), as well as add the example for the Self vs. Other type. Roese (1995) contains many examples to use.
There should be more information about the details of counterfactual thinking in the small blurb at the top of the page. The little summary for me doesn’t seem to include all of the necessary overview for the amount of information on the rest of the page. Like on many other pages there is the general information followed by brief introductions into some of the more detailed elements. So maybe we could add some short sentences about activation, biases and theories.
Adding the self-serving bias and group-serving bias under Functional biases section. McCrea (2007) found that individuals were likely to counterfactualize more for the self and important in-groups than for dissimilar other and non-relevant groups after a poor outcome.
