Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with...

Hi, I am trying to upload an image of Dr. Catherine Ross to their Wikipedia page. I am an intern for a center affiliated with her so I can't make any edits but I was told by a reviewer to upload a more recent picture. So I uploaded a picture owned by the center

A headshot of Dr. Catherine Ross from 2021.

and while I was going through the instructions they said to leave a note on this page. Thank you so much and I would appreciate any help you could give me. ReginaDevi (talk) 19:48, 28 March 2022 (UTC) ReginaDevi (talk) 19:48, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Regina, just to confirm: Did YOU take that photo on Dr Ross? - RichT|C|E-Mail 20:15, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Rich, thanks for your response. I didn't personally take the picture, however the center I work for and am acting on behalf of, owns the rights to the picture. I reached out to our director of marketing and communications, the subject of the picture, and the subject's assistant and got their unanimous expressed permission to give the rights to Wikipedia Commons since this is all internal within the center. If that's not ok, please redirect me on the right method of going about this. I'm extremely new to Wikipedia and would really appreciate any help. ReginaDevi (talk) 20:25, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The copyright is held by the photographer unless you have written confirmation from them that the rights are granted elsewhere. Either way, please ask whomever is the copyright holder to visit The Release Generator 21:37, 28 March 2022 (UTC) - RichT|C|E-Mail 21:37, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
