Copyright violation at Chappie (film)
[edit]Hi there! I saw that you added an extended plot summary at Chappie (film). Unfortunately, you copied and pasted an entire paragraph from this source. You can't do that – it's against the law. You must use your own words, not copy someone else's, even if you properly attribute it. You can quote brief sections, generally a sentence or two, but you should attempt to paraphrase the text if it's more than that. If you have questions, you can ask them at the help desk, a forum for technical help with Wikipedia. You might also want to look at our policies on copyright and copyright violations. Please be aware that this is a serious issue, and it has legal ramifications for Wikipedia. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 10:35, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
November 2016
[edit]Hello, I'm Flappychappy. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Excision (musician), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Flappychappy (talk) 12:40, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
COI
[edit]Hello, Reggiebauer. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 18:00, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
[edit]You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the content guideline and the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. Please do not add new additions to these pages without direct sources as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you.
