Hi there! I suppose that it was laziness on my part that led me to just hit the "revert" button rather than tweak your edit. You had the word "coup" in twice, and I apologize that I was too lazy to fix it properly. But if you look at my "coding," you'll notice that it's what we call a "piped link": one that leads to the correct article, even though the words used are different. Its actually just one guy. I dont know much about him bessides seeing him around Alameda once in a while. He's just a goofy ass guy that loves grapes. He does contribute to the hyphy movement, if you watch MTV my block bay area, which is at my site http://samirk87.blogspot.com he has a little bit with him in it. Dennis Brown

I had no idea about his alleged coke use until it came up at work yesterday when Dennis Brown came across our desktops [1] and my colleague (whom I find reliable and who lived for years in California) suddenly mentioned that Brown had been a crack addict, that he was definitely a smoker rather than a user of powder, and that my colleague had met him when Brown was in California, which is how he had himself found all this out. Obviously this kind of original research has no place in wikipedia but it got me searching, and when I discovered sourceable material confirming this I had no hesitation in using it. My colleague confirmed that rumours abound that Gregory Isaacs and other Jamaican reggae artists were also using coke but that Dennis Brown was the person he had seen in the flesh. I aded some stuff at Culture (band) and Joseph Hill as well, and Hill, one of the very few to confront this issue, echoed my own feelings that cocaine/crack is ruining our peace of mind as individuals and societies. Wikipedia's insistence on citations is indeed an inherent systemic bias in favoutr of literate societies which biases against third world societies amongst others, and as I am very much rooted here in the Third World right now this type of systemic bias is an issue of concern in my work here. The E-40 site

Who is this person writing so much garbage about the man? There's so much to be said, and so little of it has to do with the so-called "controvesy"? I guess with the good (Bay gettin out there), comes the bad (Hating on 40 for rapping abour muscle cars???). Well, as far as I have noticed, wikipedia has disagreements like this all the time. Usually they involve someone determined to put their point of view in an article, not realizing that it is a point of view and not clear cut fact. They usually rely on "sources" that are of very little reliability or can be interpretted many ways. Occasionally, like this time, they also involve people who see some sort of conspiracy (GMC/Yahoo pushing e-40). The good news is that usually the person with the POV is not especially committed to wikipedia and loses interest and goes away, especially when there are multiple people opposing their changes. There are other official wikipedia methods as well (see WP:DR, but I have never been involved in any of them—I usually just try to be calm and detatched... it usually bores the other person into leaving or gets them to understand a bit better what is going on in the wikipedia. I'm sorta surprised that 40 has attracted this attention, but I'm glad people give a crap about the bay.
