Hello! You speedily deleted this as G1 Patent nonsense, but it didn't seem to fall under WP:Patent nonsense. The content was "Saquan/ Busido Brown was a ninja for the gettho empire, his missions included"... which does have recognisable words in it. Something like G3 hoax or G3 vandalism might have been more appropriate. Cheers!☮ —Ecw.Technoid.Dweeb | contributions | talk | If you reply somewhere other than my talk, please leave me a talkback template. 14:35, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- Pish. It's clearly patent nonsense on every level. ⇦REDVERS⇨ Say NO to Commons bullying 14:36, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- From WP:Patent nonsense: "The following, are not patent nonsense, and should not be treated as such... ...• Hoaxes (excluding pages on real, notable hoaxes, or sites dedicated to hoaxes), although these may qualify as vandalism • Fictional story material (characters, settings, events, etc. which are only interesting to fans)". I hope this is helpful. Cheers!☮ —Ecw.Technoid.Dweeb | contributions | talk | If you reply somewhere other than my talk, please leave me a talkback template. 14:41, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Re Highdeeboy
Although this user's edits are in good faith, he was up to the uw4 for deleting parts of the article when you sent him the first warning for edit warring. He has a habit of blanking his talk page every time he gets a warning, and a history of POV pushing, original research, and refusing to accept WP:RS. Should I report him over at ANI or something the next time he starts up? He's had a series of 1 day bans, and he just starts up again right after. Thanks, Ian.thomson (talk) 15:59, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- If he reappears and makes the same or a very similar edit again, report him to WP:AIV in this format:
*{{vandal|Highdeeboy}} Just off 24 hour [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Highdeeboy&diff=next&oldid=348753061 block] for 3RR, returned and reinserted the same material [diff here] into [[Abraham]]. Many blanked warnings for edit warring in his [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Highdeeboy&action=history talk page history]. ~~~~
- That'll be enough to get him on the block escalator (usually 24hr/48hr/1week/3month/indef, so it's a bit like pulling teeth). ⇦REDVERS⇨ Say NO to Commons bullying 08:00, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi Redvers;
I just restored this page; while it's not perfect and still bears some evidence of its COI origins, the contributor has been extremely patient and cooperative with our processes. Note that there are distinct claims of notability here, and third-party sources. I'm working with her to improve things further. If you still feel that there's a problem here tomorrow, please take it to AfD. Cheers --Rlandmann (talk) 10:57, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't delete it for lack of notability, I deleted it for being a blatant advertisement. I've tagged the article as an advert and would expect, as you say, major changes to be made very quickly. ⇦REDVERS⇨ Say NO to Commons bullying 11:00, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Understood. Thanks for your forbearance. I think I've excised the advertorial tone from it; I'd appreciate your eyes on it though. Cheers --Rlandmann (talk) 12:12, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Insert a table
Hi, I have created a page for 100% records, we've spoken about it before as it happens. I'm being asked if I can include an information box on the right hand side (see "Destined Records" for example) which obviously is possible but I don't have the know-how to do it. Can you tell me how this works? --Jackrecords (talk) 12:35, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- The best solution, I've found, is to copy a table from another article (the table runs from a "
{|
" to the next "}
") and paste it into the new article. Don't save the page, just press the 'preview' button. If it looks right, scroll down and start editing the data in the table, replacing like for like (ie, don't change any curly brackets{}
or any pipes|
, just change the data). Keep hitting preview until you get it how you want, then save it. ⇦REDVERS⇨ Say NO to Commons bullying 06:36, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Why did you delete the DeVeDe article?
I was just wondering, why did you delete the DeVeDe article? I can't find any discussion of it on AFD, and I don't remember the article was needing a Speedy deletion without previous discussion. --FixmanPraise me 14:16, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- The article's entire prose content was: DeVeDe is a program for create video discs, in Video DVD, Video CD, Super Video CD, China Video Disc or DivX format so it was a straight uncontroversial A7 deletion. (It was also created by the company that makes the software, but that's by the by). ⇦REDVERS⇨ Say NO to Commons bullying 14:21, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Spam
Hello, Can you please tell me why the 'Wasgij Jigsaw Puzzles' page was deleted. It said the the extremely brief description for it's deletion that it was because it was classed as 'unambiguous Advertising'. I am struggling to see at what point in any of the text uploaded it was trying to sell the product! I was simply stating the facts about the puzzle because it is an extremely popular puzzle and people would look to the internet and a site like Wikipedia to find out more about it from an educational and personal interest level. Having searched 'Call of Duty'as an example on Wikipedia the entire page clearly promotes the game and producers etc and it is still authorised on the site, where as the Wasgij page at no point mentions who produces it or where it's sold? Is call of Duty anymore of an Encyclopedia related subject than Wasgij. Not really if the people who want to know more about Wasgij perfer Puzzles and jigsaws than computer games.
Many Thanks - Stever8619 - 14/4/2010 - 12.07 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stever8619 (talk • contribs)
- This is an encyclopedia, not a forum for advertising. An article using words like "Wasgij broke the mould", "This addictive concept is designed to keep puzzlers guessing", "The entertaining and extremely amusing surprise" etc is not really in keeping with the whole neutral point of view thing we've got going on here. Additionally, we don't take advertising - we're funded entirely by donations. So using Wikipedia to advertise a product is, in effect, stealing from a charity. People tend to frown upon that. ⇦REDVERS⇨ Say NO to Commons bullying 11:12, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Vandal
My username is Iordanis_777.I tried to edit my profile page in my account and it says that you blocked it.My current IP address is 62.103.30.101, and the block ID is #1723572.I would like you to inform me the reason you did this.Because it says that i did vandalism and i have never vadalised anything.Now i don't participate actively in wikipedia but when i created the account in the greek wikipedia i wrote some articles and was never a vadal.Anyway please inform me.--Iordanis_777 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.103.30.101 (talk • contribs)
- Because Iordanis_777 (talk · contribs) went on a vandalism spree on 5 and 7 January (see the contributions page) which took a long time to clean up. If you are the user Iordanis_777, you're evading your block (but I've seen to that) and you'll need to request unblocking on your talk page. The instructions were in the template I left for you when I blocked you... but you vandalised that template, so you'll need to revert yourself first to see what to do. ⇦REDVƎRS⇨ 12:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- Redvers goodmorning.I'm writing here not to evade my block but i couldn't do something different.So,I asked in the greek wikipedia to be renamed and they renamed me and for the reason that i had a unified log in accounts were made (automaticly?) in the wikis i had the unified log in including the en.wiki.So if you want you can redirect my user page with the user name iordanis_777 to my user page with the user name customizer_2010 and block that page as well.But i don't want my old page because it has my name.you can block the new one and have the templates with the blockage and the denied appeals copy pasted to the new one if there is a problem.Thank you.Customizer 2010 (talk) 10:30, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- Well, time will tell here: your previous account was used for some prolonged and childish vandalism. Either it was compromised, in which case getting this new account is your only option, or it was you, in which case we'll see any further vandalism and you'll be blocked again. Your best bet would be to begin editing constructively from your new account and move on. ⇦REDVƎRS⇨ 07:07, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Redvers for the reason that i don't have time to spent to writing articles i won't.But,i see that you give me good faith and for that reason i will join the team Wikipedia:WikiProject New page (i will apply) and i will give the small amount of time i have to help.thank you.now for the other thing about the accounts.i hope that i won't have problems about the double account thing!and i would like to ask you if you could make my block from indefinitely to near indefinitely.i mean you could at least make it i don't know...1 or two or three years.Anyway thanks.Customizer 2010 (talk) 08:48, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- If the account is compromised (if the account has had edits made by people other than you) then it must be blocked indefinitely. If the account is a vandalism-only account (it has only been used to make vandalising edits) then it must be blocked indefinitely. ⇦REDVƎRS⇨ 09:11, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Ronnie Baxter
Hi there. You recently deleted the Ronnie Baxter article under CSD:G12, presumably from here. However given the nature of that page and how it is written, I suspect that it was probably copied from the WP article rather than the other way round. Please advise how we can get this restored. Thanks. wjematherbigissue 13:22, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Nope. The version I deleted was a copyvio from here. There was a different version underneath that was deleted by The Wordsmith (talk · contribs). That may have been deleted because of the ronniebaxter.com copy, but I can't say. You'd need to ask The Wordsmith. But recreation might be problematic, as it's an unsourced BLP. ⇦REDVƎRS⇨ 14:12, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello Redvers, today I requested semi-protection of Principality of Achaea, and you blocked anon IP 81.39.200.5. Thank you for it, for normal user is this sufficient. It seems you have a fan. It may or may not be your gay (if you also have one of those). 86.45.162.93 (talk) 15:50, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- Oh no! My gay attacks again. I try to keep him on a short leash (literally), but my gay often escapes to commit crimes against punctuation.
- As for 9/11, IIRC my alibi would be that I was a few thousand miles away. I'll have to check, though. I'm sure I'd remember otherwise. My gay, however, can't be vouched for. ⇦REDVƎRS⇨ 16:24, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure what the procedure is, but I noticed this article was considered a stub. Before my contribution, it was 3000 bytes. Now it's about four times that. It's better, but not good. You're the one who pronounced it a stub, so I was wondering if you could change that.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 19:16, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Vchimpanzee! I just moved the tag rather than placed it, but... {{stub}} tags aren't like maintenance (clean-up) tags - there's nothing wrong with an article being a stub, and the template is sort of an advert to encourage people to dive in and expand it. It's difficult to say where the boundary lies between "stub" and "short article", but a rule of thumb would be that when you've got all the information that's relevant into the article, it's no longer a stub. Once the article is beyond a certain size (not sure what), a bot comes along and removes it anyway; but if the article has everything in it, feel free to remove the stub tag.
- And, while I'm here: well done on a great expansion of the article. It's starting to look good, mostly due to your very hard work. Thanks! ⇦REDVƎRS⇨ 19:45, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

- If you think my efforts were impressive, wait till you see what someone else did. I was communicating with a number of Wikipedia editors who had an interest in the article. I've redirected my efforts to VA Tech Wabag, which may be the article I was looking for. I've also made major changes there.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 19:41, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
