Thank you ,,,,Dan Quayle .... --ArmadilloFromHell 00:35, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Um... I was actually trying to revert some vandalism. Did I click the wrong version by mistake? RedRollerskate 00:36, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oops, you're one of the good guys your finger must have slipped --ArmadilloFromHell 00:48, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I would like to ask you something if I may, how can you say that the information in Sonic Adventure 2 is correct? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.17.212.179 (talk • contribs) .
- It's not that it's correct, it's just that indiscriminately removing text is considered vandalism. If you have proof that it's not correct, then I apologize. I'm human just like everybody else and I freely admit that I may have goofed. If you have better info than what's in the article, please add it! Also, please sign your posts by typing four tildes. Thanks for the help on Leonard Lerman (I am very new to wiki - please instruct me if this is not the right place or way to talk)Cinnamon colbert 21:36, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, this is the right place to talk. Let me know if you have more questions! RedRollerskate 01:56, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I could have done without the sarcasm ("your experiment worked"). I was fixing vandalism, which you then reverted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Afabbro (talk • contribs)
- Sorry about the bad revert. Sometimes I get a little trigger happy. As for the "your experiment worked" bit, that's not sarcasm, it's part of a standardized warning. (Go to WP:VANDAL to see what I mean.) No offense was intended. Also, please sign your comments by typing four tildes. RedRollerskate 19:51, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
There appears to be a consensus that mayors of cities (even smaller cities) are notable enough for articles. In any case, being a mayor is enough of an *assertion* of notability to avoid speedy deletion. Feel free to nominate the article for AFD if you feel strongly otherwise. Thanks, NawlinWiki 18:11, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- I do, so I AFD'd it. Thanks for the clarification. RedRollerskate 18:14, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
A Different World - plot summaries
[edit]Just wanted to let you know I'd saved a bunch of season-three summaries while you were working on the one for "Delusions of Daddyhood," so that you would know to refresh the listing before writing others. Kept your summary and threw mine out for that episode ... nice work! Lawikitejana 17:31, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!

Thanks for reverting vandalism to my talkpage. Much appreciated :) riana_dzasta 03:34, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I'll admit I am lost in your world of Wiki Pedia but you mark something for speedy deletion almost immediately ... Mike Prindle. Holding records as a kicker and playing in the NFL for example. The guidlines I am looking at seem to suggest that you are supposed to let me develop my article in multiple saves ... What did I miss. I cannot figure out this talk thing either, but I am new and us new people are to be tolerated :-) right? Madhatt2 01:33, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Madhatt2
- Sorry I got a little overzealous with the speedy tag. If he holds records as a kicker, the article should specify which ones and have sources to back it up. As for the NFL thing, when I last saw the article it said "he tried to play in the NFL but didn't have much success." To me that meant that he never made it onto an NFL team, or that he did but was cut before he could play many games. I apologize if I'm incorrect.
- BTW, if you intend to be editing an article for a long time, put {{inuse}} at the top of the article and save it. That tells people that it's still being worked on and they'll leave it alone. Oh yeah, don't forget to remove the tag when you're done. :)
- The thing to understand about speedy deletion is this: a lot of new pages are good, but often people create articles about themselves, their best friends, attack articles about people they don't like, spam articles, or plagiarism. People like me check the list of new pages frequently to weed out stuff like that. Deleting an article under the normal deletion process takes days, and that's good. Speedy deletion allows Wikipedia to get rid of stuff that clearly doesn't belong in a hurry. Also, please sign your comments by typing 4 tildes. RedRollerskate 14:57, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
All good, thanks. I'm just trying to learn as I go. He has held several records and I was more or less researching on the fly. I can do it different now that I see how it goes. I'll try to remember the inuse you mentioned. Also I apologize if this is the wrong way to ask questions. I guess playing one game during the strike doesn't make him too successful (kind of like me in wikipedia land ;-) ), but he also held some NCAA, college and high school records while there. Now I'm a stub .... I'll have to work on that next. Madhatt2 01:32, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Madhatt2
- Don't worry, this is an OK way to ask questions. :) RedRollerskate 16:05, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
