Madonna

[edit]

But, with regard to Madonna album covers and chart statistics, the problem was that the anon (you?) was not only adding titles incorrectly capitalised, but changing existing correct titles to incorrect. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 20:20, 14 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Tell me what's wrong. Let's remove the mistakes! I worked for some Madonna sites and corrected the single releases. Maybe you can correct the capitals, thank you! ;) --Red-Blue-White 20:35, 14 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I've corrected them now; the rules for capitalising titles are that all words should be capitalised except: articles, conjunctions, and preopositions (some manuals say "all prepositions under five letters"). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 23:50, 14 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I will make it correct the next time! --Red-Blue-White 09:44, 15 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Just stopped by to say hi and to tell you to continue with your good work on Madonna and her discography. You really love her, dont you? She is one of my fav artists too. Anyway take care. Oran e (t) (c) (@) 22:41, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I made the german Madonna Wikipedia site and thought that the english Wikipedia must be improved a little ;) Yes: I love Madonna, but I want to create neutral articles - and no fansite. --Red-Blue-White 11:34, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
well FINE, I came here to direct your attention to the kickass German Madonna page to see if you wanted to bring any of that page's features over to the English one (i.e. video directors), but now I see you created it anyway. Guess I shoulda looked at the edit history, heh. Anyhoo, it looks great and just wanted to tell you I went through and wikified everything (songs are quoted and albums are italicized). good luck with keeping an eye on the sales figures... i have a psychic feeling you'll be reverting those about forty billion times a week from people who have no official source. -- eo 22:45, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
hi & thanks! yes i made the german madonna article - unfortunately my english isn't good enough for writing english in the biography article - so i removed some trivia & try to improve the discography (and if i find some details useful i take it to the other discography). with the numbers i'm not 100 % sure if "my" numbers are the correct ones. i took the numbers i found at the most "serious" sites. if someone names sources it's no problem to change them. but it's obvious that some madonna fans & haters want to change them constantly. we have the certifications on the billboard site - and platinum means 1 million. that's a reference point that the actual numbers are not completely false ;) --Red-Blue-White 17:03, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your correction of "Issac"

[edit]

The offical new title of Issac is now the The Binding of Issac... Look at the following link... Plus, you know Madonna could of made a revision of the title of the song before it is released right? Here's the link to proof the above! It is also being previewed on VH1.com! [1]

The cover says Isaac... If they change the cd cover officially we can rename it. At the tracklist i can mention the alternate title.

Italian American

[edit]

Hi, I had to revert your edit as nationality should be stated in the header, italian american is not a nationality, so I added "She identifies as an Italian American." at the end of the intro. Arniep 17:00, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"She identifies" is not true - she is: See Italian American - it is a nationality: An Italian American is an American of Italian descent either born in America or someone who has immigrated. But that's not that important. I move that "she identifies" to a better place. --Red-Blue-White 17:08, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Use of xxx-American in the header is only acceptable if the person was born in xxx and has subsquently become an American citizen. Otherwise it is not appropriate to put peoples ethnicity in the header. Thanks Arniep 21:27, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. --Red-Blue-White 21:30, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a username at de: ? Jkelly 01:48, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes - my username is Ken-nedy [2] --Red-Blue-White 01:53, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That explains your knowledge of the de:User:Peter-m situation. The connection wasn't clear from the conversation or from your User page here. Jkelly 02:59, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. It's difficult to find a picture for the German site and regularly anyone uploads Madonna pictures that we have to remove. If there are heavy copyright problems they can close the article til it's cleared. We had no picture for the article so I made a photo of a acryl painting I made. A good photo would be much better. If you find some free pictures please tell me. --Red-Blue-White 03:21, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

number ones

[edit]

Hey RBW, just a quick note to direct your attention to Wikipedia:WikiProject Music/Tables for charts (see Talk Page also). If you don't feel like reading through all of the discussion there, basically it states that one of the guidelines in music tables is to discourage the boldfacing of number 1 chart positions. I thought maybe you'd want to know, as I noticed you recently went through the Madonna discography table and made all the 1's bold. Still looks great tho... I'm on my way out the door right now to buy her new album  :-) -- eo 13:51, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I made much more than bolding '1's. ;) If it's absolutely necessary to unbold them I can do it. But I think the chart is more clearly, to see on first sight where she has had the biggest hits. If you have more suggestions to improve the discography tell me. Enjoy the album - it's one of her best! ;) --Red-Blue-White 15:03, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for support! It's hard to keep the discography in shape... ;o) --Red-Blue-White 01:25, 21 December 2005 (UTC) btw: the limited edition is amazing![reply]

This is clearly a difference of opinion. While you may consider the article on Madonna's discography to be "clean," I find it to be a complete mess. I agree that it is useless to start an edit war over this. From now on, I'll try to edit the Britney Spears' discography article with more respect to the other Wikipedians and their versions. I'm sorry if you felt like I was trying to destroy any of your own edits; that was not my goal at all, I was just attempting to make the article cleaner and sleaker. Triggy 06:17, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The point is that every discography differs - we have no real reference article. Actually it's good to have a variety of different discographies. I think that the Madonna discography is the best compromise because a discography is a pure list of all recordings - not more not less (a chart box is a chart box and not a discography). I think we should watch the evolution - which parts (tables, colors, lists) are accepted by the users. --Red-Blue-White 15:25, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but as you'll notice it's more-or-less the same group of users working on every major Pop aritst's discography, which leaves little room for variation, especially when that group of users seems to rollback every edit they don't agree with. Triggy 21:39, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

==Its Unfair to use the promotional image of an album in you personal page. Please remove the piture link of Impressive instant from your user page.Vivek 13:48, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's unfair to write crap in foreign languages. This scan is no promotional image. --Red-Blue-White 02:25, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I see that you have done a lot of work on various Madonna articles and I was wondering if you would like to help me further expand the article on "Hung Up", adding information of its musical structure and maybe on the ABBA sample. I think the article has potential and would like to see a Madonna article one day reach feature article status. Any help would be great. Thanks. — Underneath-it-All 04:27, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! At the moment I'm very busy. Yeah - the articles has potential - I will help out when I have more time, Ken --Red-Blue-White 20:26, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Red-Blue-White. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Impressive Instant.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Red-Blue-White. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Live Earth Germany performers

[edit]

I've noted you recently made some significant alterations to the performer list. None of the performers you added are on the official website, and some that you removed were listed. Since there seems to be a real challenge getting a complete and correct line-up for this particular concert, could you please provide sources for any additions/removals? (You could well be right, but the performer lists have been subject to a lot of "wishful thinking" from the beginning, so it is appropriate to source the changes.) Thanks. Risker 20:20, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I copied them from the German Wiki - I don't know if the list is correct. --Red-Blue-White 15:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You recently have contributed to article talk page regarding Album Sales. In an attempt to resolve this conflict, we have opened up a simple place to help sort this out at: Talk:Britney Spears discography#Album_Sales. This is an attempt to find a consensus regarding reliable and accurate sources. Currently only two people have contributed to this list, and I would hate for you to miss out on chipping in your two cents. The rules are simple.... Simply enter in the source you consider a reliable source of figures for the album sales. The other fine print is on the talk page. With your help, I hope we can end this debate -- if only for a short while. :) Thanks again, Tiggerjay 00:50, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello. In regards to the inputs you made on Madonna's album and Candy Shop, it would be much better if you gave more than just a mere vote. Here at Wikipedia, we make decisions based on consensus, and not just votes. Admc2006 (talk) 21:23, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. --Red-Blue-White (talk) 10:34, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thriller 25

[edit]

Hey ,you said you wanted Thriller 25 a merged article from Thriller (album). Just wondering, have you re-considered since then, now it's out? It's just we're trying to get a consensus going on the talk page. It'd be nice for you to either contribute to debate, or state if your opinion has changed. Consider how much both the articles have changed since your last imput as they have both seen changes.--Realist2 (talk) 17:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's the same album. A new edition with some mixes. That's my opinion. --Red-Blue-White (talk) 00:25, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cool Yule

[edit]

You said (in the revision history on her discography) that a single Holiday album should not have its own section. In addition to adding a missing rereleased album, I gave Cool Yule its own section again. Whether it's 1 album or 10(!) albums, holiday albums deserve to have their own section. Of course, this is merely my personal opinion as I like searching for holiday music around this time of year and finding albums this way makes it a lot easier...but if you can point out some guideline that strictly says a single album doesn't get its own section, I'm all ears. =)

I wonder if there's an ongoing updated list of released holiday albums. That would be a massive project, but man, that would be another nice page to have.

EDIT: I've now found the Destiny's Child discography. Compilations, Remix albums, and Holiday albums all have one album each and their own sections. I have not edited this, but I believe it's right to conform to each individual section as the album types ARE different. Cheers. =) CycloneGU (talk) 14:34, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't change it - but it's a useless category. --Red-Blue-White (talk) 15:52, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's just a matter of opinion. I'm interested in whether there is a guideline to this. No worries, I'll be going through a lot of music and redoing some of the pages. I have to do some more work on my Ben E. King page as well once I finish adding albums (I'm a few away) since I don't have compilations and live albums in there yet. =) CycloneGU (talk) 00:16, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Holiday album is useful if artists have several holiday albums. If not I think it's best for the Misc category. But if it's important for you/ others, it's okay. --Red-Blue-White (talk) 20:18, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bodies single

[edit]

Hi there! please give a reason for your edits! do not just undo them without any reason!! There is no need for spacing at the review section! Thank U! (MariAna Mimi 20:01, 27 October 2009 (UTC))

NO! there is no reason for that! as there are only 2 reviews! the senteces are separate! and anyone can see that!

i'm a good reader and it is NOT visible that there are 2 different reviews. Red-Blue-White (talk) 20:05, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but i believe I am right and you are wrong. Please notice that the articles are not your property. Maybe you haven't the right distance. But I will change it not again cause an editwar is not worth it.. Red-Blue-White (talk) 20:14, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Progress Live, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Together and Go West (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Sharknado

[edit]

Just because the New Yorker article states that Sharknado "is a slapdash combination of Jaws and Twister" does not mean it is a mockbuster of the two films. A film is a mockbuster if it is imitating a larger-budget film released within the same year. - Areaseven (talk) 08:09, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
