Disclosure: I'm the founder of rebuildingsociety.com and a proud donor to Wikipedia Foundation. Since my company is not profitable and I have invested more than I am paid, I do not consider myself to be a paid editor. I make edits on subject matters for which I have good insight because I am keen to see the growth of the Peer-to-peer lending industry.

Sometimes the most relevant content is authored by the people closest to the subject with a connected interest. My additions are reviewed and always intended to be neutral, supported with appropriate citations. This is not correct, it is my personal account, which only I use. I didn't want to use a personally identifiable name for security reasons.

I apologise for failing to disclose the COI. I always ensure that my insertions are useful and provide full citations of published content to support the information inserted. My history of additions is useful to the community and I edit pages that can be technical and where there is generally little contribution from the community. I'll be sure to disclose the COI (where relevant) in future. Please unblock me.

OK. I've added a disclosure notice to the top of my profile, hopefully, this now complies with the relevant policies. I've read about using the COI tag for specific insertions and apologise for not using this previously. Now the COI notice is at the top of the page. I've changed my username to "civilfrontier" hopefully this is sufficiently meaningless. I do intend to edit pages and content, especially around crypto and tech-related content, where there is a lot of information. I just wanted to start with subjects I know most about, which happen to be subjects I'm connected to. Personally, as long as the content is factual, and periodically overseen, I think it should be acceptable for people to contribute to matters they know intimately. Suspending newbies because they write about stuff they are connected to is a good way to disenfranchise new editors who prefer to start with stuff they know about. I'd quite like to write about management case studies too and teleworking workplace practices, but I need to read up more first.

There is a difference between editing about topics that you know about and topics that you are directly connected with. There are encyclopedia websites where only vetted experts in a topic can edit, if that is more agreeable with you. For guidance in editing about an area you are knowledgeable in, please see WP:EXPERT.
