Charles Hamilton

Charles fled to the United States of America, where he continued to live as a man, and was eventually put on trial for a horse thief - a crime commonly associated with men. The irony is that Hamilton's manhood was questioned throughout his life, yet at the end of his life he was guilty of a crime associated with a man. This is significant as Hamilton was not accepted for either gender, and the authorities approached his gender perception differently throughout his life ^[1] Rebecaaaharringtonnn (talk) 14:53, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
