Information icon Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Fatehpur district, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 17:50, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon In Wikipedia, the names used for places are natural-language words or expressions that indicates the subject of the article. However, some topics have multiple names, and some names have multiple topics; this can lead to disagreement about which name should be used for a given article's title. Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it generally prefers the name that is most commonly used as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources. See WP:COMMONNAME. The common name for Faizabad division is just that. Please do not go around changing it to Ayodhya division without getting agreement first.-- Toddy1 (talk) 17:58, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not change the name of the place in the infobox from the name of the place given as the article title as you did at Iltifatganj Bazar.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:43, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks!-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:44, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from changing the names of places in articles from the commonly used name to "official" names. Wikipedia prefers the name that is most commonly used as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources. YOu have been told about this before.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:15, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rewatiganj moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Rewatiganj, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
