On deletion of Jaraka

Hi This is SambitK, creator of wiki article "Jaraka". This page has been nominated for deletion because of lack of References . But as I provided some links another user deleted them because there were too much of them. Another problem is that the place is not well known and I found very less number of reliable links for which I had to add third party links.

I don't know what to do. It's my first article and I don't want to get it deleted. So can you please help me in making this article better so that it doesn't get deleted. I am new to Wikipedia and need help. SambitK (talk) 03:37, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Since you have access to my article, can you please edit it wherever needed?

I had provided two links from reliable government sources. But they were deleted.

And I don't know how to add maps and photos to the infobox. I had also tried to use some parameters which were present on other infoboxes (of other articles), but it showed that it is an unknown parameter. How can others use unknown parameters but I can't? Please help me out

@SambitK: Please take a look carefully at Template:Infobox settlement, where you will find the "image map" parameter where you will add it. For "image skyline" parameter, I don't know that it might be reserved only for photos that in skyline version. Please correct me if I did a mistake. Hi sir, The IP address starting with "103" is mine from the Second Philippine Article, I apologize for the vandalism that happened, I am gonna be honest, I dont remember editing the article at all, This made me nervous and made an account for this. I hope you understand.

Hello, Rdp060707, Actually i wanted to add that particular piece of information about A.A. Rahim but there was no articles available for citation.That is why I added link. I have corrected the way I have put it across. Please check whether the current format is okay. The information that I have added is factualy correct. In fact many people in Kollam are not aware the hospital is named after this person. That is what I thought will hold relevance for my edit. Changes to Lost Saga

Hi,

I see you reverted my changes to the Lost Saga page. Your reasons for reverting are genuinely incorrect, as I added relevant information related to the game that had not been added prior. These changes were made in good faith and are objective and undebatable.

I have reinstated my changes. Please do not revert again unless you want to give a good reason for it aside from “unnecessary links” that are not at all unnecessary.

@Rdp060707: Thanks for your response, but in lieu of what you said, I also suggest that you should read WP:IAR. While from your perspective external links may not be allowed in the circumstance that I used them, I also have had 7 people personally message me thanking me for “helping me rediscover that my favorite game is actually alive again, without you I would’ve never known” (their words, not mine). If my changes on Wikipedia are literally helping people rediscover that a certain game that’s been shut down entirely for TWO YEARS is back, when they otherwise would’ve had no idea of this information, then how can you genuinely say that my edits shouldn’t be on the website? If you ask me, and probably a majority of all editors on the website, that sounds like the most perfect example of when to ignore the rules and just make your edits.

If you would like to criticize my decision to add external links, please feel free to do so by REMOVING THE LINKS, not undoing my entire edit (which included MUCH more than just adding the links). However, when these links are helping people find the website that they need in relation to learning something new on Wikipedia, how can you actually think they’re not necessary?

I really don’t mean to be rude when I say this, but please refrain from trying to edit the Lost Saga page from here on out. While I respect what people do on Wikipedia to keep vandals off the website, I am not a vandal and never will be. Lost Saga, while it may just be a single Wikipedia page for a small game you’ve never heard of to you, is a game that’s changed my life. I swore a long time ago to make sure that the game would be represented correctly on Wikipedia, and god knows I’m not gonna cave on behalf of a single person telling me I’m breaking the rules. I don’t mean to sound like I’m threatening you or anything, but I do think that this is a case where it’s best for both of us if you don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong.
