I've been editing the SoftMaker entry, trying to achieve a NPOV. Yet the "reads like an advertisement" banner persists. I don't know how to make it any more neutral without eliding everything that differentiates SoftMaker Office in the marketplace. Some guidance would be appreciated.
My interest is based on my simply being a satisfied customer, although I may in the future become an OEM, bundling SoftMaker Office with low-cost Linux PCs. Whether I do or not, it's still a great product that deserves broader recognition. My reason for editing it is to increase awareness of a good product and not for any commercial gain.
- I think you may have misunderstood how the "advert" tag works; it is inserted and removed manually rather than by some kind of automated procedure. Thus the way to remove it is to make the article less adverty (which you have done well) then go to the editting screen and at the very top you should see {{Advertisement}} which you remove to get rid of the banner. I've done this as I think the article is now much more NPOV. Hope this helps and if you have more questions I'm watching your talk page so reply here or you can contact me here. --Farosdaughter (talk) 15:00, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
