This talk is about an understanding of Science and Spirituality (not religion).
Both seek the truth. Methodologies and approaches are different.
Many of new science reports and postings are based on the erroneous concept of the so called "arrow of time".
Scientific experiments and studies are based in the labs or in the field, such as space or a specific location, under strict controls and mathematical definitions. Most are based on observations with the passage of "time" .
For one thing, there is no such entity as "time" per se. For another, it is impossible to ascertain the so called "future-present-past" sequence. It could very well be the exact opposite of this scientific assumption. Eintsein has ruled out "simultaniety".
If planet earth has existed for 4.5 billion earth years (a fallacy in itself), how can the universe be reported as 14.5 billion earth years old? The number 14.5 earth years is totally irrelevant in this context.
The scientific method does not know the proportion of "the observable" to "the complete" universe. Yet figures and numbers for the whole universe are reported. What is presented to the public are "fabulous facades", computer-enhanced and/or color-enhanced pleasing-to-the eye pictures.
Hubble's Law states that space is expanding and galaxies are receding away from each other at some measurable rate. Yet The Milky Way galaxy and its neighbor The Andromeda galaxy, some 20 million light years away, are on a collision course. To an observor billions of light years away from these two galaxies, these two galaxies are moving away from each other under the force of Hubbles Constant. This example seems to indicate a contradiction.
Cosmology needs to investigate the makeup and properties of "space". Space is an extremely complex entity with intertwined fields and constituents. It only appears to our instruments as expanding.
Spiritual studies are based within the mind and intellect of the individual and realizations/observations are not a function of "time". These studies can be directed at any discipline. Insights and inter-relationships are realized. Sometimes quantities are discerned. For the unearthing of hidden knowledge (pursuit of both disciplines), at the conceptual level, "The Metaphysical Sciences" yield new perspectives. The two disciplines are not mutually exclusive.
