Your edits at Sylvain Lesné

[edit]

Please engage the article talk page at Talk:Sylvain Lesné, specifically this section to discuss your edits. When you are citing a source that is already used in the article, you can avoid creating double entries to the same source by using a named ref, as I've explained on article talk. You reintroduced a webforum citation on text where it is not needed, after I explained on talk, and it is not an optimal source for that particular text; see also WP:CITATIONOVERKILL. The Alzheimer's Forum can be used for certain kinds of sourcing, but it is a primary source. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:53, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nick Bougas

[edit]

Hey, I wanted to let you know that (and why) I removed the material you added to the Nick Bougas article. I removed the descriptor "Neonazi" from the lead because it is not something that appears in the source references, meaning if you added it based on your personal observations it would be original research. I also removed the description of one of his cartoons because the reference cites Reddit, which is generally not a reliable source. Let me know if you have any questions about this! --Jprg1966 (talk) 17:07, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm SamX. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, BlackCat (cyber gang), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SamX [talk · contribs] 17:56, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

July 2024

[edit]

In this series of edits, you (per your edit summaries) "repositioned" nearly all of the information in the article. And this is fine, except your edits appear to have not been mindful of sourcing at all: removing some references, repositioning information without taking the associated references with it, leaving references at the end of a paragraph but moving unrelated information into the paragraph. The article is now a disaster in terms of sourcing, with WP:V and WP:SOURCEHIJACKING issues. You have already had several warnings relating to various sourcing errors dating back nearly two years, and it is more serious to be making such errors when handling a crime-related BLP, so it is probably time you read WP:V and WP:CITE before making any more edits. Kingsif (talk) 21:21, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

All sources I included made previous sources redundant because articles published on him include all previous details on his criminal case.
Be more specific in your criticism, especially if you use grand register like "desaster". Provide the information that lacked a source after my edits. Otherwise I am afraid I cannot change my editing style. Rara929 (talk) 12:31, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
