Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Recent Game.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Recent Game.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 02:45, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Color in navboxes

[edit]

Hey. Just so you're aware, the Manual of Style (MOS) does not allow color to be used in navboxes, due to accessibility and for being generally outdated of a feature. I noticed you've been adding color to a lot of Nintendo navbox templates, which I've since reverted. Also, please stop adding non-free images to these navboxes - they violate copyright issues, which can cause you to be blocked. Thanks. Namcokid47 (Contribs) 04:12, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of VidLii

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on VidLii requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Orphaned non-free image File:91AZxFiMIUL.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:91AZxFiMIUL.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:48, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Url-status

[edit]

Why are you mass removing the url-status=live parameter from links? Unless these links are all dead, which is exceedingly unlikely, you need to stop, and revert your edits. -- ferret (talk) 21:52, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your mass removal of the url-status tag

[edit]

Removing URL-status tags from articles – unless the URL within the citation is no longer live (in which case simply change the "live" value to "dead") – is entirely unnecessary. Another administrator has already reverted your edits, so there is no need to worry about it, but please remember this. Deauthorized. (talk) 22:06, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a blog

[edit]

Hello, Gamerknowitall. Although saying that you are a Tomodachi Life fan may be acceptable in your user page, as it can explain the edits that you do, talking about your friend codes and the Miis on your island, is generally not accepted. I want you to know this so that you can remove the content on your user page. GameTriangle (chat!) 21:00, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I sometimes struggle to communicate

[edit]

Hi, regarding my post on Template:Cite court, could you check out the demo Template in this sandbox: User:Rjjiii/sandbox9

Does that look close to what you were hoping for? I am thinking about pushing archive-url and url-status to the live template, waiting a week, and then implementing access-date and archive-date. Thanks for taking a look, Rjjiii (ii) (talk) 01:59, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question about the pre-May 1986 MGM Television catalog

[edit]

Hey Gamerknowitall, can you replace the "pre-1985" with the "pre-May 1986" on the Turner Entertainment Co. catalog via the MGM Television library at List of libraries owned by Warner Bros. Discovery? 24.114.27.103 (talk) 10:47, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have already done that, along with another mistake on the page in which it said "April 1986" instead of "May 1986." Thank you for pointing out that mistake. Gamerknowitall (talk) 20:43, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Hey, can you add back the section headers at all six company libraries? 24.114.36.38 (talk) 01:40, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry. What do you mean by that specifically? Gamerknowitall (talk) 23:30, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Empty categories

[edit]

Hello, Gamerknowitall,

I thought I'd leave you a note about empty categories because it's very different than how other speedy deletion tagged pages are handled. Empty categories are tagged CSD C1 and then they sit for 7 days in Category:Empty categories awaiting deletion. If, after a week, they are still empty, then they are deleted. If they are filled over that week, then the tag is removed. Also, if a category happens to be deleted simply for being empty, it can be recreated at any time should a need for it arise. This is unlike most other criteria for speedy deletion. So, don't panic, these notices are just to inform you that these categories have been tagged. But in the case of empty categories, "speedy deletion" is really not speedy at all. I hope this explains this flurry of notices on your User talk page. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:19, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
