Forgot to sign something?
[edit]Just go back to the relevant page and edit it to include your signature. There's no harm done in correcting your own mistakes. As you've noticed, the bot operates very quickly. -- Longhair\talk 19:35, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Global accounts
[edit]I'd assume it would be fine to discontinue using your old account on the French wiki, and began afresh, however as all Wikimedia wikis operate under their own polices formed by their relevant communities, I suggest checking with those at the French wikipedia for a definitive answer. Cheers. -- Longhair\talk 09:19, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Userpage deletion
[edit]I see no edits that have marked your userpage for deletion. Where do/did you see this message appear? As the history for your userpage shows, you are the only editor to have ever made an edit to your userpage. -- Longhair\talk 22:31, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ignoring it is your best option. It may very well have been some vandalism to a template used on your userpage, which was quickly fixed. That's the more likely explanation. -- Longhair\talk 22:53, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- Vandalism at Wikipedia is more regular than the beat of a clock. If you can nail down which template was vandalised, I can look into the template to see if some level of protection is warranted. If it's a high profile template, protecting it against vandalism is usually the best course of action. My actual userpage has been vandalised more times than I care to imagine. When it happens, I just apply the Revert, Block and Ignore approach. There's no advantage in feeding the trolls with any attention. -- Longhair\talk 23:11, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
