Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to ‎An article that contains nothing but a full stop. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. Thank you. I see from your contribution history you've made some good edits. Keep making those kinds of edits. Please stop making joke edits or you'll be blocked. Thanks. Pan Dan 11:47, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

there is reason why the current version of the page has less links, (ie wikipedia is not a definitive list).--KerotanTalk Have a nice day :) 11:04, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Right, we don't link to a historical version of a page in an article... there is a reason those were removed from the article in the first place; they failed WP:V and/or WP:N. BJAODN isn't the article space so a link there is fine.--Isotope23 talk 13:29, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This blocked user's request to have autoblock on their IP address lifted has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request.

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "JJWJLW". The reason given for JJWJLW's block is: "Vandalism-only account".

Decline reason: Can you explain why JJWJLW is editing the same sort of articles as you and using the same IP address as you? — Yamla 17:17, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed I can:

  1. My ISP is Virgin Media, which means I have a shared I.P address (I've had this problem before)
  2. To be honest, I see very few similarities between my own edits and the edits of the blocked vandal. And either way my own edits are very different to those of JJWJLW.

With this explained, I am now asking for my unblock request to be reviewed Randomator 17:24, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock of 82.5.76.215 lifted or expired. I have released the autoblock but I suggest you manually force an ip change before you attempt to edit again. (i think you can do this by doing a hard reboot of your cable box

I'm not sure if this was a joke or just vandalism, but please don't screw around with the articles. It just means someone has to come by and clean them up afterwards. In fact, I see you've previously reverted vandalism from a few articles yourself, so you should know this. I'll assume this was a one-off, and that the "escalating series of vandal notices" we use for newbies isn't necessary. Thanks. --barneca (talk) 15:10, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As they say in the movies, "oh be-have". Seriously, though, we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so don't make joke edits. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write whatever you want (as long as it's not offensive). Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Jimmy Wales. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Jminthorne (talk) 20:29, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Jimmy Wales, you will be blocked from editing. Jminthorne (talk) 04:09, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
