Leonardo's personal life
[edit]I just deleted your edit and I am leaving you a message here so you know why. The paragraph ahaead of your insertion refered to Leonardo's trial for sodomy. The paragrpah immediately below it began with the words "After the trial....". It then discussed Leonardo's relationship with two young men, Salai and Melzi.
You paragraph about the speculation over whether the face of the Mona Lisa was the face of Salai was complaetely misplaced. It did not belong between two paragraphs referring to the same thing (the trial). It did not belong before the paragraph that introduced Salai and the possibility that Leonardo's relationship with him was other than teacher/pupil.
Please read carefully the material that you are about to edit. Regardless of how factual or how well sourced your info may be, if you put it in the wrong place, you damage the article.
One problem with this type of editting is that when someone who "watches" the article reviews what you have done, they may only look at what you have written, and not at the context in which you have inserted it. This means that a paragraph which seriously interrupts the flow, or even makes nonsense of a whole section by going off on a tangent, can remain in place for weeks or months until someone who is a really cluey editor realises what has gone wrong.
It is up to you to read carefully before you add.
