On your suggestions for Rajput history

[edit]

Greetings, I saw you've been posting suggestions on the Rajput Talk page, and had a few comments:

  • Talk page is for discussing the article. If you want to draft possible sections, instead you should create a draft area on your userpage, like type User:Rajbaz/Rajput draft, click on the redlink and start a new page. You can then go to Talk and say "hey, here's a link to User:Rajbaz/Rajput draft, what do you think about the Mughal invasion section?" rather than just write on Talk.
  • Your contributions thus far aren't the sort of thing we can use, and it has no footnotes. Claims/facts should be backed up by footnotes from books/newspapers/journals; please see WP:RS for how to get good footnote material. Otherwise we're just accepting "facts" on the say-so of whoever comes by.
  • The way your contributions are written so far is unclear and confusing for people who don't already know the history. "So-and-so was a good king, and he had a son, who was a good king" doesn't provide any useful facts other than a list of names. The current History section at Rajput is pretty good overall (except lacking footnotes), so try taking a look at that and understanding how even an unfamiliar reader could get a good basic idea from that material.

Only warning

[edit]

Your most recent comment on Talk:Janjua contained highly offensive language (specifically, "These people are two faced mongrels."). Use of such language is not permitted on Wikipedia, and doing so again will result in your account being blocked from editing. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:04, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Rajput are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use talk pages for inappropriate discussion, as you did at Talk:Indo-Aryan migration, you may be blocked from editing. BashBrannigan (talk) 00:33, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse of talk pages

[edit]

If you make one more unconstructive talk page comment akin to this one then I will seek administrative intervention. Article talk pages are not general forums for discussion. They are intended to discuss improvements to the article, which is something your comments generally fail to do. You may not be aware that caste articles are subject to sanctions, so I append the standard notice below. Continue as you are doing and you'll most likely find yourself either blocked from contributing for a while or banned from certain topics. - Sitush (talk) 15:46, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

I suggest that you strike this comment as per the discretionary sanctions noted above. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:00, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:48, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of User:Rajbaz/Rajput draft

[edit]

User:Rajbaz/Rajput draft, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Rajbaz/Rajput draft and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Rajbaz/Rajput draft during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion.
