WAFY in Florida

[edit]

While Radio-Locator does say that WAFY operates on that translator in Florida, with a check of the FCC database, it seems they don't.

The translator is owned by WAY-FM Media (soon to be sold to Glades Media). According to the application the station will be simulcasting WAY-FM and I noticed where Radio-Locator got goofed up.

"W263BB, OKEECHOBEE, FL WILL CONTINUE TO REBROADCAST WAYF-FM CH201 WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, FACID 61507 WITH PERMISSION FROM WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP, INC. THE LICENSEE OF WAYF-FM AND THE ASSIGNOR IN THIS APPLICATION."

Sorry for the caps, I copied that from the FCC website. But the bold part is where the goof was. WAYF...WAFY. No worries though. I will revert it for ya.

Good catch though. I would have liked to have seen how they got the signal way down there clearly too. Oh well :) Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 04:13, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
