Welcome, Rainier3!
I'm Riana, and I noticed that you're new, so I thought I'd drop you a note. We do have a lot of users, and are currently working on 6,914,990 articles, so things can be a little intimidating... but don't worry! We love to help out, and we'll try our best to make your stay here as comfortable as possible.
Here are a few links I found useful when I first arrived here:-
You should sign your name on talk pages, discussions and votes by typing ~~~~
; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date. Also, if you don't want to jump right into editing articles right now, why not check out the sandbox? Feel free to make test edits there.
I know it's a lot of information, but there are two more things I recommend you take note of while editing Wikipedia - cite references wherever possible, and avoid allowing personal biases interfere with your editing.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian - I definitely do. Although we all make mistakes, please keep in mind what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or problems, leave me a message on my talk page, and I'll try my best to help. Otherwise, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
We hope you stick around, and make sure you enjoy yourself! Cheers, – Riana ঋ 11:03, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

about the Von Neumann syndrome...
[edit]I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Von Neumann syndrome, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
After reading the article, I reluctantly nominated it for deletion. The "syndrome" actually makes a lot of sense. If there is any way I can help you to overcome the objections I raised, please let me know. In particular, It is clear that you are not completely proficient ihn English, athough your English is still quite understandable. Please feel free to update the article to overcome my objections, and I can then do a copyedit to improve the English. (I received a failing grade in German at university -- I am impressed by your ability to express yourself in English.) Even if this article is deleted, plesae do not become discouraged. Could you please look at the Supercomputer article? I think that you may be able to counterbalance a severe case of "von Neumann syhdrome" in that article. -Arch dude 00:46, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article KARL, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The article would be better if you could add independent third-party references. --Eastmain 05:44, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of A Block diagram Language
[edit]A tag has been placed on A Block diagram Language requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Tiggerjay (talk) 07:42, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Anti machine
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Anti machine, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

The article Von Neumann syndrome has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article never defines subject; unsubstantiated notability
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blelbach (talk) 22:16, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
