Metal Storm reviews

[edit]

Hi, RaduPP. Thanks for taking a recent interest in expanding albums' critical receptions. When adding a review to an album, the publication should be one of Wikipedia's reliable sources (a list of which can be seen here: WP:RSMUSIC). Metal Storm does pass, but only for staff reviews. I noticed that many of the reviews you've been adding are authored by someone named RaduP, who I presume to be you. So, just for clarification, are you Metal Storm staff? If not, if you're a user or just a part-time contributor, these reviews don't pass reliability. Thanks in advance, CelestialWeevil (talk) 16:16, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, CelestialWeevil. Yes, I am Metal Storm user RaduP. I am an official contributor of the website, which is part of the staff and my reviews are also published on the Facebook page although sometimes with a delay, hence why you won't find some of my latest reviews there just yet. But they also appear on the main page at the top, whereas guest reviews written by regular users do not. To further prove that I am an official contributor, here's the official staff segment. RaduPP (talk) 18:08, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification. By the way, I moved your response here just so any future viewers can easily follow the thread. I'm not going to remove or mess with any of your reviews because I don't have the authority or experience. But, I think it's important to review this page when you get a chance: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. I'm not saying your opinion is affected or anything like that, I just want you to be aware of the ideas involved. Happy editing. CelestialWeevil (talk) 19:30, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Having skimmed through that article, I'd say it's only reasonable for it to be so. The only things MetalStorm that I edited were adding official reviews to albums, otherwise I could've easily just removed the criticism on our wiki page (which is quite justified). I did meddle with COI about 5 years ago when as a joke I added my friend's cover band on wikipedia, and understandably from now on I'll refrain from any unorthodox meddling. I just (re)started editing on wikipedia and I'm still getting the hang of how the coding works, but I'll likely keep editing and adding info. I'll make sure to be as objective as possible regarding metal, Metal Storm or Romania, which are the only things were COI would be possible. I can assure you I'm not paid by anyone (although I wish I were). Thanks a lot for your help. RaduPP (talk) 04:12, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Prequelle

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the Prequelle article, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. You may find our linking guidelines helpful in this regard. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Manifest Decimation

[edit]

Has a staff from MetalStorm reviewed this album page? If so, please direct that page to me, thanks. ~SMLTP 15:34, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No, but there is a review, but it's written by a guest, thus it shouldn't be used as critical reception. Also a staff did Staff Pick it, as in he chose it to appear on a section of the front page with a short staff written description, which also doesn't count as critical reception. So in short, no. RaduPP (talk) 18:03, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well thank you anyways. ~SMLTP 19:43, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
