A tag has been placed on Category:Formerly Armenian Inhabited Settlements indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

April 2022

[edit]

Please stop your activities immediately, they go explicitly against consensus.--Ymblanter (talk) 06:45, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do you care to specify which activities in particular? The pages on settlements are overwhelmingly irregular and lacking uniformity. I find it hard to believe there is consensus on anything at all. RadomirZinovyev (talk) 06:50, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Then you have to work hard, because there is a very clear consensus about the names of these localities. They are all romanized Ukrainian names. Ymblanter (talk) 06:52, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I see, you're talking about that, In that case can I bring up some points about the context of that?
  1. Back when the original conflict began the seperatist republics had both Russian and Ukrainian as official langauges, this was abolished some years ago
  2. Neither of those republics were recognised by any UN nation as sovereign nations, which now they are recognised by Russia.
  3. I have made clear to include the Ukrainian names in a secondary position, but the simple fact is they are no longer official by the present authorities, and that situation won't be changing.
  4. Nobody in these areas even calls them by Ukrainian names, these areas are Russian speaking absolute majority
  5. There are settlements in Crimea which are not by standard Ukrainian latinisation, what difference is there now between Crimean and Donbass republics recognition?
RadomirZinovyev (talk) 07:01, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
These are not authorities, these are occupational administrations. The consensus is that this is still Ukrainian territory, and Ukraine has only one official language. Crimea should go back to the Ukrainian romanization as well (with the exception of Gurzuf, which was moved after a RM). The exceptions are the Communist era names such as Krasnodon, which were renamed by Ukrainian authorities, but the rename had no effect since Ukraine does not control the areas. This only applies to the boundaries of LNR and DNR before 2022. We are not going to rename the localities just on the basis that Russian army occupied them briefly; the best we can do here is to mention the occupation fact using reliable sources (note than some sources you used do not conform to the definition of WP:RS). Coat of arms of Russian occupied Kherson

[edit]

After searching image with Google I discovered the sketch for the coat of arms of Kherson city under the Imperial Russia, which looks nearly identical to what used in today's Kherson after occupation of Russia, as my suggestion, you should rework the image to make it respect the sketch. Thanks.

Minor edits

[edit]

Please learn and apply the definition of WP:MINOR edits. Several of the recent edits that you have marked as "minor" are not minor edits.[1][2][3]. It does not matter if you think the edit is correct. It matters if the change is minor. Adoring nanny (talk) 21:01, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sanctions Alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Eastern Europe or the Balkans. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please stop

[edit]

Please stop restoring unsourced and fake text to articles as you did at Kherson oblast (Russia). If you continue to try and restore this text you will be reported for creating WP:HOAXes on Wikipedia. Volunteer Marek 12:47, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are deleting sourced text along with the unsourced. You will be reported for article vandalisation if you don't stop. RadomirZinovyev (talk) 12:50, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, that’s false. But hey let’s pretend it’s not. How about you restore only the parts that are sourced? And don’t refer to other editors edits as vandalism. Volunteer Marek 12:51, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Deleting half a page without regard for it's content is vandalism. RadomirZinovyev (talk) 12:51, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No. When it's unsourced false WP:HOAX info, it's not. One more time - second warning - do not call other people's edits vandalism. Volunteer Marek 13:01, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please post consensus indicating that Kherson and Zaporozhye Oblasts are WP:HOAX. RadomirZinovyev (talk) 13:06, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop trying to hide behind consensus. Unsourced text can and will be removed. No such things exist currently. Volunteer Marek 13:19, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
