Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Radioshed, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes ~~~~, this will automatically produce your name and the date when you save the page. You never have to type your username when leaving a signature.

As far as advice goes, I try to bear two things in mind: that Wikipedia belongs to everybody and that Wikipedia strives to be an encyclopedia. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me (or just say hello) on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page (this page) and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Now get stuck in... Deizio 15:20, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coming good?

[edit]

Warning: the following comment was left by a patronising bastard. You can help Wikipedia, and yourself, by not being like him.

  • Nice to see your useful addition to Prestonpans, much better than all the nonsense with the Pissboy thing. If you're getting the bug and think you could continue to be a serious contributor, you might consider starting afresh by opening a new account. Certainly anyone who was part of the deletion debate on Pissboy won't have fond memories, and others can see it all in your contribution history. Many editors start off on the wrong foot before they get a handle on the what the project is about. There's a lot of articles to be created and expanded about East Lothian, extra manpower is always good. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have about WP or help in anyway, just shout.

Of course, you could have been editing under a different name since Pissboy, in which case you seem to have matured a lot. Nice one, Deizio 15:20, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I would probably consider that, if I were someone who really gave a damn what complete strangers thought of me. And for the record, I still stand behind the Pissboy World Cup and all the joy that it brings to competitors and spectators alike. However, I might expand the Prestonpans article even more, if I find the time. I have a load of information on the place. --Radioshed 16:16, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikinews looking for /b/tards

[edit]

Hi!

Located your user page via the /b/tard template. Wikinews is looking into law enforcement monitoring of websites, wondering if you'd be interested in possibly helping out? You'll find my email address on my Wikinews talk page. --Brian McNeil /talk 00:43, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
