Peer Review:

In the introductory paragraph, I might change your language a bit and use simpler terms, at least in the first sentence. Instead of saying below expectations, maybe I would straight up say, "language onset that occurs later than expected" instead of "below expectations," if that is what late language emergence is. I'm also a little confused about "expressive language." Maybe explain that term a little more? Also, are late language emergence and language delay one and the same or are they different topics?

I think the fact that you decided to title the article "Late Talkers" versus "Einstein Syndrome" is a great idea given that is the term used in the research. Given the misconception of late talking with ASD and the fact that late talkers typically excel in other academic areas, I think this section might be a good spot to tell readers that late talking is not the same as savant syndrome, which you have the top of your page.

Prevalence section:

I think you might want to add a little more information on the context of this initial study on prevalence if you are going to use that 13.4% as your go-to number. Maybe include the population or sample from the study.

Just a formatting thing, but I think the citation number goes inside of the period rather than outside.

Typical Language Development section: (make sure you add a T)

I think the first sentence in this section might fit better underneath the "Language Assessment" section where you talk about expressive and receptive language"

In this section, it might be interesting to do a little point-by-point comparison of typical language development versus the language development of late talkers, if the information is available. For example, along with the information you already have in the zero-12 months section, I might add the language expectations/development of someone who is a late talker so that the reader can see and compare the two types of development.

Language assessment section:

I might add a little more information and context to the 3 types of assessments you have. Also go through and explain some of the more unknown terms, like aura comprehension and articulation.

An additional section you could add would go more in depth into the later-in-life expectations of late talkers. Is there a neurological explanation for why late talkers tend to excel late in life?
