[edit]Hello, I'm Guliolopez. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Portobello GAA have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Guliolopez (talk) 18:47, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- Please consider reading the guidelines about mission statements, neutral language, soap-boxing and using Wikipedia as a form of webhost. And, for that matter, those relating to the burden on those who add/change text to provide reliable and verifiable sources. Ideally independent ones. These guidelines apply to all editors. Applying equally to marketeers with The Coca-Cola Company, supporters of Liverpool FC, promoters of conspiracy theories, and all others who might think that their (subjective) opinions or perspectives should be represented as (objective) statements. Editors are not expected to be dispassionate robots with no passions or perspectives. They are, however, expected to (self)acknowledge any potential bias (and, as much as possible, leave it at the gate). And, whatever the case, editors are expected to support all additions with independent/reliable/verifiable sources. Guliolopez (talk) 19:14, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- Also, please do not copy/paste text directly from copyrighted sources. As you evidently did in the Ranelagh Gaels GAA article. And elsewhere. Some of which included text taken from a webpage labelled as "© Copyright Ranelagh Gaels 2020. All rights reserved". Which is not a Commons-compatible licence. Please see WP:COPYVIO. And, indeed, MOS:OUR. Guliolopez (talk) 23:24, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
