Short descriptions
[edit]Hi there. I would recommend that you read WP:SHORTDESC to understand the reasoning behind the field. A blank short description is perfectly fine, and in fact recommended, when the title of the article sufficiently detailed to not require any further details for disambiguation or interpretation. The short description is not to provide a synopsis or summary of the article, just succinctly describe the scope in cases where the article title isn't sufficient. Disliking not seeing a short description is not a reason to have one. Canterbury Tail talk 01:28, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Triple j, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lucy Smith. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]I'm confused by some of the text you removed from the article, why is SBS not a reliable source? -- NotCharizard 🗨 15:20, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- And The Guardian is specifically listed here as a decent source? -- NotCharizard 🗨 15:31, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- I apologise, I made a bit of a mistake in deleting those sources initially, however the information wasn't quoted in the citation so I didn't know where to look without reading the whole article so I suppose this incident was a bit of an oversight on my behalf. I have quoted the relevant information in the article now but if those quotes can't be found easily they should always be added, that just makes things a lot easier for editors and readers if the relevant information isn't in the headline. I recognise that all these sources are decent and reliable but the information needs to be quickly available which just wasn't the case without scrolling quite far in the articles. - Thanks, I appreciate your help. I’ll try to remember to add full quotes to citations in the future! -- NotCharizard 🗨 06:14, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
