Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, QmedV, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Gibberous

[edit]

Not sure what happened here.[1] Lots of gibberous text... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:35, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You need to figure out how not to add gibberous to Wikipedia[2].
No idea were "<div target="_blank" id="honLogo_352" class="hon certificateLink honcode-logo-wide valid" title="HONcode certified" alt="HONcode certified" href="http://services.hon.ch/cgi-bin/Plugin/redirect.pl?HONConduct756274+en"></div>" is coming from in your edits. Are you copy and pasting text from somewhere? Or maybe it is just the Visual Editor? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:03, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Doc James:. I see it happened again today when @QmedV: was making some adjustments to her edits. I just went through and removed all the gibberous text. This was definitely not on purpose and, I agree, it may come from copy and pasting between the visual and code-based editor. Thanks for bring it to our attention James. QmedV, do you have any other edits to make to finalize this assignment? If so, when editing the article please type directly into the article using the visual editor and add your citations using the PMID/ISBN/DOI tool. Once other volunteers have adjusted your contributions in Wikipedia mainspace, if you feel that something else has to be added back in, please post it on the talk page to discuss the change. Thanks again for all your help here James. JenOttawa (talk) 14:13, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
