Climate change articles are under probation
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Christopher Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.
The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. - 2/0 (cont.) 00:12, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Three revert rule warning
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. -- ChrisO (talk) 09:15, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for the warning. I simply removed a photo of anti-AGW Monckton which was removed in early January 2010 as it was disputed as derogatory representation of a living person. This matter has not been resolved and it was not right for the picture to be re-inserted.
As soon as I made the change it was instantly reverted, without explanation, and by someone who has not been party to the discuissions.
Help
[edit]Qichina,
How do you email other wikipedia users privately? I'm still a relatively new learner although trying to come up to speed fast.
Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlschlesinger (talk • contribs) 06:06, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
