Peer Review for Folsom Lake State Recreation Area
[edit]Hi! It's Anhely for the peer review! Okay, I'll break it down.
Five Elements
- Lead section easy to understand
You give a good, unbiased background on FLSRA. I'd like to see where the information came from (but I'm sure you're aware of this and you're most likely to put it in the final version anyway). It sounds like FLSRA an important part of Sacramento County, because you did a good job to make it seem that way. Also, see if you can find a way to add a hyperlink to other pages (Central Valley Project,) if it's not too much trouble.
- A clear structure
Your sections are nicely organized and appear well developed. The campgrounds sound like a neat thing to write about, but beware of adding too much detail about them. Also, are there any endangered or important species there? Mentioning them would be a nice addition, I think.
- Balanced coverage
General, history, maybe split up plants and wildlife into two sections if it looks like there's a lot of information under that one, just so it doesn't leave the history section looking like it has less text since your focus is on the entire recreational area. I may actually add in a wildlife section to my article - didn't think of it until now, or at least talk about the relationship of the Contra Costa Canal and wildlife if there is anything important.
- Neutral content
You've maintained an unbiased, detached voice over the article so far - all good! Although I'm not sure where you got your information from, since there's only one link from the California State Parks PDF. Maybe try to find articles from different agencies, that way it isn't just viewed from one perspective. You could maybe look for news articles if there are any, and you can use them for a perspective from the public too.
- Reliable sources
There's only one source on your page, but I already covered that previously. The page looks like is coming along fine.
I think that's it so far. It looks like it's coming along well. Only thing I see that needs work is the sources, but I'm sure you'll get to them soon.
