Orphaned non-free media (Image:HFF1.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HFF1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:35, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HFF requested move

[edit]

Hi HFFdetails, you placed a requested move tag here that I believe was meant for Talk:Holliday Fenoglio Fowler. I'll move it there for you. --BDD (talk) 20:48, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "HFFdetails", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it implies you are affiliated with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. --BDD (talk) 20:54, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Change User Name

[edit]

Hi again, and thanks for your willingness to change your user name to comply with policy; that's a nice gesture. I was wondering why it was taking the bureaucrats so long to act on your request, and I realized it was just misplaced. It belongs at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple#Requests. I've moved it for you, and it's now the oldest request there, so I think you'll get fairly prompt service. Thanks again, BDD (talk) 16:12, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help request

[edit]

Have not been able to get the name of the page changed. I've submitted a new page "HFF", once approved I would like to delete the "Holliday Fenoglio Fowler" page.

Hello! Anything involving page deletions will require assistance from an administrator. Happy editing! Technical 13 (talk) 15:21, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'll disagree; you'll need to edit the existing page, rather than replacing it, to preserve its editing history, required for Wikipedia's licensing. The page is unlike to be moved to HFF, as you would need other editors to agree that is the primary topic for the abbreviation, requiring about a 10-to-1 ration over all other uses combined. In the future, please create new sections using the 'New section' tab at the top. Dru of Id (talk) 15:27, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not knowing any other editors, it's unlikely that I could get others to agree. I've been trying to get the page changed for several months. Not sure what other options I have other than deleting existing page to create a page that has the correct company name.— Preceding unsigned comment added by PurpleC (talkcontribs) 15:36, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I see that Holliday Fenoglio Fowler now redirects to HFF (commercial real estate). HFF is a disambiguation page, as Wikipedia editors have not determined that the commercial real estate firm is the wp:primary topic for HFF. Hopefully this is what you wanted, and satisfies your help request. For future reference on how to make this sort of request, see WP:Requested moves. – Wbm1058 (talk) 17:23, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to HFF (commercial real estate) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/HFF, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:26, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello PurpleC. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "HFF".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/HFF}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 16:02, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:HFF Houston Building.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
