I would suggest asking at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Genealogy or perhaps Wikipedia talk:Graphics Lab/Illustration workshop, I don't know the answer myself, but they will.  :) --j⚛e deckertalk 05:52, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You'll need to use {{Chart}}, which will display the content correctly. Instructions on how to use it are at that link. You might also find User:GregU/familytree.js a useful script to install. Yunshui  07:42, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Advice on creating articles

[edit]

Hello Pureromblomanon. I saw that you created a number of pages with no content other than categories. I do appreciate that you are trying to contribute new articles; however, it is important that you understand when you publish articles, they are expected to meet some basic requirements. Firstly, they should not fall under any of the criteria for speedy deletion—please review the criteria if you haven't already. They should also at the very least establish the topic (i.e. explain what it is) and ideally cite one or more sources for verification. Generally, you should also make a credible claim as to why the topic you are writing about is significant or worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. I would strongly advise reading Wikipedia:Your first article if you have not done so already—it has a good description of what we expect to see in newly created articles.

In the future, when creating new articles, I recommend creating a userspace draft first. This method allows you to build the article in a less public area of Wikipedia, and where there is far greater leniency over what content is allowed to stay. Once you feel it has reached a point where it can be published, I recommend the Articles for Creation project, which is a process that allows you submit your draft for review by more experienced editors before it is published to decrease the chances of articles being deleted for not meeting the standards. If you've already written a draft, add the following code to submit it for review at Articles for Creation: {{subst:submit}}

We need newly created articles to meet basic requirements so that the encyclopedia doesn't get filled with too many incomplete articles that lack enough content to identify their subjects. It would be a highly undesirable situation if a reader were to head to a link and find an article that doesn't say what the topic is or why it's important. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me at any time. Thanks, Mz7 (talk) 04:30, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On your message to Lawrence Ruiz

[edit]

Hello Pureromblomanon, this is Lawrence Ruiz, a fellow Romblomanon from Magdiwang, Sibuyan Island. I have no major issue regarding your edits. I am merely applying Wikipedia standards on people's names, which states that middle names should not be included, especially if linked to a separate Wikipedia page. Kindly read Wikipedia standards on using people's names. Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 03:45, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Pureromblomanon, I am from Magdiwang, Sibuyan, but based in Manila. Editing Wikipedia pages regarding Romblon and its municipalities and providing them with information based on reliable references is currently my hobby. - Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 03:01, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Romblon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Carabao Island. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your recent edits to Romblon violates Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/Settlements: Article structure

[edit]

Hello Pureromblomanon! I hope this message reaches you well. I have been overseeing the Romblon page and saw that you added a historical timeline after the entry on "History" as well as a detailed table under "Subdivisions" showing information that could otherwise be placed in each municipality's Wiki page. Be advised that these edits violate Wikipedia standards on Article Structure (See Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/Settlements: Article structure). Also, adding large tables of text renders the Wiki article unscannable.

I suggest that you create a separate Wiki article on the "History of Romblon" or "Timeline of Romblon" where you can put these information. I can help you structure that article as per Wikipedia standards and provide credible secondary and tertiary sources for it.

Be advised that I will undo further attempts at restoring these timelines and tables. I hope you comply by not inputting these information again. Thanks! - Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 11:54, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Republic Act No. 9721 (Philippines)  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 05:37, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Information icon Hello, I'm DrKay. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Please note that the verifiability policy mandates that unsourced material that has been challenged, such as by a "fact" tag, or by its removal, may not be added back without a reliable, published source being cited for the content, using an inline citation. The cited source must clearly support the material as presented in the article, and the burden is on the person wishing to keep in the disputed material. So if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so, following these requirements! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
