Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Pupiltree! I am Tinucherian and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Pupil Tree, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. -- Tinu Cherian - 09:05, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.

However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list. Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 00:19, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I apologise for not having gone through the username guidelines more thoroughly. I have taken the username simply because it is the heading of my first article, Pupil Tree. I have chosen this subject because someone I know studies at the Pupil Tree School. Does that constitute a conflict of interest? If yes, I apologise again and am prepared to withdraw the article immediately. As is required, I propose the following username - Eaglecloud.

Decline reason:

Sorry, that username is already taken. Please request unblock again using the code {{unblock-un|<your new username>}}.  Sandstein  06:40, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

No, what you describe is not actually a confict of interest. But given that it strongly looked like you had one, it's good for you to change username. If you don't have a conflict there's no need to withdraw the article, it may or may not be an appropriate topic but we have a process for that. Mangojuicetalk 06:41, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for your kind replies. I do hope I have done this correctly this time around.{{unblock-un|<Delagrandi>}} Pupiltree (talk) 07:53, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing request to change username to User:Delagrandi (note that usernames can't have the angle brackets in them, so you'll have to use Delagrandi, not <Delagrandi>. Please put this change request in as soon as possible at Wikipedia:Changing username.

Request handled by: Mangojuicetalk 13:57, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the time taken by you to get me out of this mess. I can assure Wikipedia that such a mistake will not happen again. Thanks once more. Delagrandi (talk) 05:33, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Pupil Tree has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable chain of schools

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
