The article Fidel Castro is Dead has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Self-published novel of limited notability. Google search on "Fidel Castro is Dead" "Pradeep Persaud" shows only 13 results. ... NOT True ... Google search on "Fidel Castro is Dead" "Pradeep Persaud" shows MORE THAN 100 results.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MikeWazowski (talk) 00:16, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
The page Fidel Castro is Dead has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes something, and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please don't use Wikipedia to promote your book. Also, see WP:COI. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:38, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi Pumpkinjelly, I understand the confusion. The amount of text is daunting at times. Work is in progress on an easier to use editor, but these two tips will make work much easier:
- Go to your Preferences page, enable wikiEd on the Gadgets panel. It will make the code more coherent to read.
- Stay at your Preferences page, under Editing, enable section editing via [edit] links. Now you can click on the edit button above each chapter in an article and just see the code and edit that part of the article. It will greatly reduce the unwanted text in your screen.
Also, have a look at this page, it has some good tips. For any further questions, please contact me at my Talk page or refer to the Helpdesk.
Regards,
