Besides being unsourced, your edits are making a mess
[edit]Do you really think it is sensible to actually change the titles of our sources? And some of your edits are breaking links to existing articles. Doug Weller talk 15:07, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

Ok now read carefully he dont know what wrong in that book cause their not much books to rely cause u brit got modernize late and so u guys had historical records less (the case with mizo kuki people)and he use it . Now u saw it u saw the bug word u got offended and wanna change it and u change it . Later i saw the changes and i thought who the hell is this dude is who dare to change my sources (why i said like this? cause as i told u i didnt know it is wrong cause i thought i got it from a person had done research even used it for academic term) and i change d it again . - Please have a look at the links provided by PaleoNeonate below. Self-published material are non considered reliable sources, as you can read here: WP:SPS. If your claims are indeed generally accepted "facts", you should be able to find external reliable sources that back up these claims. –Austronesier (talk) 09:30, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Zou language, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mizo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Kuki-Chin languages, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Austronesier (talk) 08:51, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Do not manipulate the titles of sources, as you have repeatedly have done here[1][2] and here[3][4]. You have to bring up reliable sources that back up your edits; manipulating sources is certainly not the right way, and may result in a block. @Doug Weller: They keep on doing it. –Austronesier (talk) 19:10, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

About Wikipedia
[edit]Hello Puipuianunuibuangpuia1. I have read what you posted on this talk page and think that you misunderstand how Wikipedia works. Some editors have explained already but it's possible that it was not detailed enough.
- Wikipedia as an encyclopedia appeals to the authority of sources written by independent scholars, etc. Reliable source has more information and the Reliable Sources Noticeboard or this directory can be used to assess the reliability of a source. Such sources are needed to support any material of the encyclopedia and they must be cited. The text of articles cannot be changed to not correspond to the existing sources without also replacing those sources that the new text must be a summary of.
- Personal experience, opinions and editor's own research or synthesis is not allowed in articles. This means that we can only report what the sources say.
- All this does mean that a type of systemic bias cannot be avoided. Editors cannot correct this, if scholars or reliable sources are wrong and we cannot find other reliable sources that correct or contradict them, only work done outside the encyclopedia to improve the situation and knowledge in those areas can help. There are other venues for that like having papers published in the relevant journals, etc.
- The existence of an article, like one on a people, depends on if notability is met (that enough independent reliable sources cover the topic such that enough material can be written). Not on if the article has errors, unless of course it was a blatant hoax or an attack page.
I hope this explains the situation. Please click on the blue links of this message for more details. —PaleoNeonate – 22:44, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Thanks Puipuianunuibuangpuia1 (talk) 08:14, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
I didnt get one thing. U mean if i edited an article in my sandbox , it will be considered just a test is it . Im nervous if i mess up again others may feel me annoying and disturbed . Puipuianunuibuangpuia1 (talk) 08:24, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Don't worry, your sandbox is not an article, so you can really do tests edits there, or make text drafts for later edits in "real" articles. –Austronesier (talk) 09:07, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
So there are options
is it? Puipuianunuibuangpuia1 (talk) 09:11, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
Hey that india article i told u to see did u see mizo being mentioned .Can u tell me why isnt it on the india people article Puipuianunuibuangpuia1 (talk) 09:13, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yes you can even copy-paste an article into your sandbox and start editing it there (make sure to copy from the source rather than from the web page rendering for best results). The history allows to then obtain differences between the original and your new edits. If the sandbox is long unused (WP:G13) or becomes effectively a fork (WP:POVFORK) it could eventually be nominated for deletion, though. —PaleoNeonate – 05:04, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

Mizo-Kuki-Chin
[edit]You may be happy to hear that I have found some good sources (in scholarly books and journals from experts in linguistics) that refer to the language group as "Mizo-Kuki-Chin languages". I will check if this is sufficient for changing the page names per WP:COMMONNAME, because we have to show that "Mizo-Kuki-Chin languages" is more common than just "Kuki-Chin languages", especially in new sources. But even if we cannot move the page titles, we can still mention "Mizo-Kuki-Chin" based on good sources. I will do some changes in the next days. –Austronesier (talk) 13:52, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
Sir thanks alot for going through all the stuffs. Really appreciate it . When u will have time sir can u tell me how to find sources for our claims , is it just to web it or something else? Sir one thing just pop up in my mind , if the kuki chin is going to be changed what about it's related pages (northern kuki c.. southern kuki ch..m proto kuki ch... central kuki ch... etc) just mentioned it THANK YOU Puipuianunuibuangpuia1 (talk) 05:44, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, you can do a web search for the search terms "Mizo-Kuki-Chin languages" vs. "Kuki-Chin languages". But remember, since this is mostly a matter of language classification, you should stick to academic sources, so ideally you can look for it in Google Scholar. There is a publication series that has a lot of papers dealing with the study of the languages in your area, it's called North East Indian Linguistics, and some volumes are available here[5].
- Actually, you will see that many scholars still use the traditional term "Kuki-Chin" even in the most recent sources. One eminent scholar, Scott DeLancey, has used "Mizo-Kuki-Chin languages" in some articles from around 2010, but now has switched back to "Kuki-Chin languages". Linguists are usually sensitive to issues like the ones you have brought up (like "Kuki" sounding negative for your community); many experts are active in language community projects and also enganged in Bible translations (like SIL International), and they wouldn't use expressions that are insulting to the community. –Austronesier (talk) 13:22, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I have just found out another thing: in the page Kuki-Chin languages, one of the sources is a dissertation:
- VanBik, Kenneth (2009). Proto-Kuki-Chin: A Reconstructed Ancestor of the Kuki-Chin Languages.
- I have tried to find info about the author, and you will maybe be suprised to see this:[6]. Prof. Van Bik is a Hakha, and his father translated the Hakha Bible.[7] So it's not only the colonial "Brits" who use "Kuki-Chin", but also people how belong to the group of ethnicities that speak Kuki-Chin languages. –Austronesier (talk) 14:52, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
