Vandalism/POV pushing
[edit]Hello,
Good job dealing with the mess on the Viktor Petrik page! I usually try to watch it but happened to be on a short vacation over the weekend. I think the best way to deal with this kind of thing is by warning individual accounts and protecting pages against IP and new user editing. After a few warnings accounts with the type of editing habits we saw recently can be blocked. We can get the semi-protection expanded if they start up again after it runs out.
The nature of Wikipedia though is that it is sometimes difficult to completely put a halt to this type of editing. Wikipedia:Advocacy and Wikipedia:Edit warring provide some more detailed information.
