[edit]Can you explain what you're doing with these pages? Natureium (talk) 19:15, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
- I thought my explanations were self explanatory, but sure: I was in the process of systematically modifying the generally accepted but less common usage "collectable" to "collectible", as the latter is both the more precise & more common usage. Although the use of "collectable" to mean "items of value to collectors" is fairly common, "collectible" is the older and still today more common usage for this meaning. In the strictest grammatical sense, any object that is able to be gathered is collectable. Litter is collectable; a limited edition figure is collectible. I have noticed that my changes have been reverted; I would ask anyone doing so to look up the potential difference between these two words in multiple dictionaries & grammatical reference before switching the articles back to "collectable", as I am merely clarifying, not removing any information. Collectible is the more precise & accurate spelling for this usage. (It's also the more frequent usage, & therefore more likely to be searched for.) ProphetZarquon (talk) 19:38, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
