Hi.
This Davidseanh person had re-added his vandalism to the DeNA page, so I reverted it again. Should we be worried about this individual in the future?

Help with an article you're reviewed
Hi ProgrammingGeek, you've reviewed this article which I posted JSCAPE and flagged it for improvement as it is written like an advertisement. When drafting this article I used info available on web in several place which I used as references. I would appreciate any feedback on what items I could update or remove to make this article aligned to Wikipedia guidelines and not to sound like an ad. Can you please let me know? Thanks. --Laviniaknowswiki (talk) 23:20, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
- Hi User:Laviniaknowswiki, Here's an example of what I was talking about:
In 2016, JSCAPE embarked in a partnership with Stonebranch, a modern workload automation solution provider. This strategic technology partnership was formed to deliver a network solution called Universal Data Mover Gateway (UDM Gateway), which has the ability to manage the flow of business critical data between organizations and their external trading partners.
Instead, to make this more neutral, try:
In 2016, JSCAPE formed a partnership with workload automation provider Stonebranch. This partnership was created to make a product known as Universal Data Mover Gateway (UDM Gateway), which manages the flow of important data between organisations.
It seems less promotional and has less flowery language. Thanks, ProgrammingGeek (Page! • Talk! • Contribs!) 17:32, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for your feedback. I'll update the page soon. --Laviniaknowswiki (talk) 03:35, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

a) Title: project-open is styled in lower case with an closed bracket at the beginning and an open one at the end. From what I understand all I can do is using "lowercase title" as brackets are not allowed in article titles.
b) I have added a couple of more references. HEISE (h-online in the UK) is the #1 media outlet for IT related news in Germany. SILICON.DE follows on the 2nd/3rd place. All references are independent and reliable sources. The growing source code and the activity on sourceforge should underline the notability of the project.

13:23:53, 5 January 2017 review of submission by SunSetter
Thank you for reviewing my submission. I must say that I am surprised at the rejection, given that all the main sources cited to establish the notability of the organisation are external & independent - notably Reuters, the Financial Times and the Guardian. They are not references to Carbon Tracker's own website (which are mostly links to the pieces of research cited)
As such, could you kindly explain which parts read like an advertisement? Please note that the Bill McKibben reference on number of shares & likes is taken from another Wikipedia page. Upon rereading, perhaps some of the historical bits of the organisation could be trimmed down, but other than that, I genuinely am puzzled.
Many thanks and happy new year!
Re: Bio-Cancer draft
What is still needed for the Bio-Cancer draft? I took charge of that draft after it was submitted by a new editor, who I believe has left the project since March. I fail to see what is now keeping this article from being created - there are six independent reliable sources that discuss the band in detail. There are two paragraphs on content. If I'd created this article directly, instead of going through AfC, I wouldn't see it nominated for deletion. Can you please explain exactly what the problem is?--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 15:18, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- The page is create-protected. Please file a request to unprotect it at WP:RFPP. ProgrammingGeek (Page! • Talk! • Contribs!) 16:04, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

15:14:35, 21 December 2016 review of submission by Alphanumeric12345
Hi there -- Thank you in advance for your help. Just wanting some direction on how to edit and adjust the article to not read like an advertisement. I had even done some "live chat help" before submitting, so I was a little surprised to have the submission declined. You mentioned needing a range of independent sources, which was one of the things I tried very hard to do - in fact only twice did I refer to the organization's own website and listed several outside links to articles or stories to show supportive material references. Please know I'm not sharing any of that to argue or complain, just simply explaining why I need some guidance because I'm not sure how to proceed.
In preparing the article, I also referred to several other Wikipedia articles on churches, denominations, religious groups and fellowships in order to see the manner in which they were written. I patterned much of my sentence structure and topics after what I read on these approved pages.
If you can provide some specific direction or suggestions, I will be sure to follow those completely and begin the resubmission process as soon as possible.
Thank you for your time and extra help! :) Peace, Alphanumeric12345 Alphanumeric12345 (talk) 15:14, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
Hey! First, let me say that your article is good. Very well written, after re-reading it I would say that my only concern is the coverage in mainstream media. Try searching Google News for coverage in CNN, NYT, etc. That would establish notability better. If I'm being completely honest I'm somewhat new to AFC, and if you re-submitted now it might be approved. That being said, another source never hurt.
Best of luck ProgrammingGeek talktome 18:20, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
Hi again - Thanks for your help. I found a couple of link/references I can include from NYT and HuffPost, so I'll add those and resubmit. Appreciate the assist. :) Peace,

Tokai Park Draft Article
Dear ProgrammingGeek,
Could you please explain why you rejected our submission for a page on Tokai ([[1]])? You said it "read more like an essay", but I've read other wiki pages and they are not significantly different in style. The sources that we use are "secondary, reliable sources". And additionally why is it a problem to use original research? Surely these are the best references to use. I am totally new to this and find all the new information rather overwhelming.
Also, I see you more recently declared that we have a "conflict of interest". I have read the page and still do not understand what wikipedia mean by "conflict of interest". Nor why you have said that we (the co-authors for Tokai Park) have a conflict of interest. Could you please clarify?
Tokai Park is an important nature reserve and conservation area and there should be a wiki page for it. I cannot believe that Tokai suburb (the neighboring suburb) has a wikipedia page, and this is just an urban area (totally uninteresting), and yet we cannot get a page published on a notable area!? This is so strange to me and this all seems like nitpicking. Especially when all the other parks in Cape Town (South Africa) have wiki pages, and the Tokai one is already listed, and needing to be created (see here: [[2]]).
Apologies for being frustrated with you, but honestly: I'm giving up my own free time to write about this conservation area -because I'm passionate about conservation. And now my writing is rejected for a whole bunch of reasons that are totally unclear? I really don't have a lot of time, and I would prefer to have clear guidance on how I can get this page published, rather than general and vague comments like "style is wrong" and "conflict of interest present" etc. I would really appreciate some clarity.
Yours sincerely,
Alanna

Thank you very for reviewing the WonderCMS draft. We actually now have a way better understanding of what is necessary to have our project submitted.
We will stop re-submitting the article as it is futile for now as we'll let somebody else write the required links once they exist. Do you mind answering one more question, how did these get submitted with less links/resources? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GetSimple_CMS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CMSimple (book doesn't exist) It just seems we went the extra mile to collect more information like our CMS friends - just to get it denied. Tolson Museum page edit
Hi ProgrammingGeek,
I updated the web link on the Tolson Museum page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tolson_Museum) because it was broken.
The broken link is http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/leisure/museumsGalleries/tolson/index.aspx
The new link is http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/beta/museums-galleries-history/tolson-museum.aspx
However, your implementation of Huggle reversed the change. Do I do something incorrect?

First, thank you for your review. I am a new contributor to Wikipedia so my apologies if I ask any stupid questions and am not submitting properly.
Do you have any specific examples from the article where it violates the policies you cited? That would be very helpful for me in making edits. I have looked at other Wikipedia articles done for Innocence Network affiliates and am trying to maintain a consistent organizational approach. Here is an example: [[4]]
I appreciate your help! --Rickarm (talk) 00:34, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Mark Mercedes
You recently over ruled Dr Strauss and approved the creation of the article Mark Mercedes from draft form. Could you please explain the reason for this over rule? Dr Strauss made it clear that there were nowhere near enough third party sources and substantive mainstream media coverage. The consequent two edits from the 59 IP provided only provided a single article from a mainstream newspaper about Mercedes specifically about his retirement - an article that appears promotional and biased calling Mercedes a "pioneer" judging by the link (which is broken by the way). If he was a pioneer there would be a lot more coverage of this description and there isn't. 101.182.34.93 (talk) 08:59, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
