Wife Sister Edit

[edit]

slfirme, Grahamcrackered, so we need to add the 6th paragraph stating Alexander discuses...etc. after the 7th paragraph which is already on our team page into the article? Just making sure I have it right which edit we're doing. Dkcincy (talk) 14:42, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, just looked at the announcement from last night. We have Paragraphs 4 & 8 Dkcincy (talk) 14:45, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dkcincy , slfirme, Grahamcrackered, Did the announcement have the right paragraphs that you worked on? If not, dd whatever is easiest, thanks. ProfGray (talk) 15:14, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ProfGray Yeah the announcement did have the right one. I was mistaken. Dkcincy (talk) 15:29, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For Paragraphs 4 and 8:

[edit]

Perhaps something like this: It is possible that the union of Abraham and Sarah was actually incestuous, because Sarah is thought to have been Abraham's half-sister. Abraham knew then Holiness code rules on incest (ZarathustraSay 20 on Hepner), and though the only thing strictly forbidden was marriage to one's own brother or sister, this union still calls into question the extent of these rules. However, when Abraham and Isaac claimed that their wives were their sisters, they were doing so in order to create much needed diplomatic relations (Sctimmons on Hoffmeier). Yeah that looks pretty good. Looks like you already put it into the article? Adding a few Biblical refrences. Dkcincy (talk) 18:51, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
