Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Priscilla023, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

[edit] Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Juan Crow while logged out. Please be mindful not to perform controversial edits while logged out, or your account risks being blocked from editing. Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 21:26, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Juan Crow, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 21:26, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Toddst1, It seems there's been some kind of misunderstanding about @Priscilla023's good faith edits on this article. I've looked into the article history and the discussions on the article talk page, and I don't believe the student was behind the IP edits that you assumed and left a message about, especially when looking at the content of those IP edits compared to the content the student added. I can see how in frustration you wrote "Your little class may finish in a few weeks but crappy writing will stay around and be obsolete." Just asking for some kindness in the feedback next time around, and feel free to ping me or @Ian (Wiki Ed) if the need arises.
- I'd also like to share that I addressed with the student the removal of the template (done in error) and the reverts - will not happen again without first engaging in dialogue to reach consensus. The student will present a summary of their proposed edits to the talk page, before editing the article again. They want to improve this article and will appreciate any constructive feedback you may have about their proposed edits. Again feel free to ping for anything.
