Moonrise?

Hello Princess! Derild has gone poof, and Airplaneman doesn't feel like editing, so it looks like I'm going to have to bother you again. I've been thinking about sending Moonrise to Peer Review, but truth be told, I haven't really done anything to the article since its GA, and can't seem to find anything left to add to it. No bother! Honestly, I'm at as much of a loss as you are. The only thing I can imagine expanding is reception, but I know you've exhausted the resources for that. I don't know what else to tell you. Hello

Hello, I haven't talked to you for a while! I've been bouncing back and forth for a while, but I've returned to the article of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I set this up for a peer review a while back and have tried making some of the changes. I've cut down the plot quite a bit, though more still has to go and I'm not sure what. I know I can improve the "Style and themes" section more, but recently I've been concentrating on the "Translations" section, though pretty much everything I find is all from fansites. Hi! Okay, my comments on a very quick review of the PR and then skim of the article:

• The reviewer was correct in noting the in-universe tone. I would be willing to help with that as I have not read the book, or indeed, any in the series.
• The plot should probably be condensed even more, which is very difficult I know, but again, I would be willing to help.
• I see very little possibility or need for expanse in the "Translations" section, as that seems well-developed. I will have to do some thorough research before I can tell you any more about references for that, will get back to you.
• As you said, "Style and themes" could be expanded, as likely can "critical reception", depending on the availability of the many reviews I'm sure exist.
• I'm glad you have chosen to keep the "franchise" section, as, unlike the reviewer, I think it adds good background for the reader. And do remember, while input is good, a review is still mostly the opinion of the reviewer. You may need to get opinions from multiple editors for a comprehensive picture of the article.

As above, I would be glad to help in reworking sections. I should have some free time tomorrow and will try to do some general copyediting and outsider writing. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any follow-up questions or clarifications. PrincessofLlyr ^{royal court} 03:09, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Most of the reviews that pop up online are either from blogs or for the movie, but I managed to find one from The San Francisco Chronicle and The Los Angeles Times I'll be adding them soon and look through them for things I can use in "Styles and themes". Well, for example, the article on Deathly Hallows contains three subsections under themes, each fully developed. The more you know about each theme, the better. Try to find some more reviews and add those, which might give you more info to work with. Of course, by comparison, much of the content in Deathly Hallows deals with the entire series, not just that book. With that in consideration, I think the "style and themes" section isn't far from being good. There's not much about actual style, you could see if any reviewers mention that. By "style" I was referring to the darker tone that many reviewers pointed out. The themes section in the Deathly Hallows article was actually added after it passed GA to prep it for FA--I wrote most of the "Christian allegories" section there myself. Anyway, I've found a review at The Chicago Tribune and will add that in a minute...I'm trying to think of other newspapers I can search for. Glimmer721 ^talk 17:05, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Okay, the style thing makes sense now. About reviews, I'm not sure what else to tell you. The links BCx gave might be usable. You could try finding the originals, but he's likely correct about needing a subscription. Are you searching newspapers individually or have you tried the Google News archives search? A lot of libraries have access to online databases. Check if yours does (You usually need to log in with your library account). They've got lots of journals and magazine and newspaper articles. Editor Review

Hey PrincessofLlyr, thanks a lot for taking time out to review me as an editor. I really appreciate your comments! I agree with almost everything you say, including the stub creations and the questionable edit. Of course, I have reasons for all these edits, but what you say is true; I must work more on expansion of articles. A huge hurdle is that it is really hard to find good sources for Indian articles, and even harder on the net. I frequently look at American University articles, and I envy the sheer number and quality of the sources; such things are nearly impossible to find for Indian articles. About that edit, I guess it was bad judgment on my part; I heard the guy speak last month, and he mentioned it during the talk; its nearly impossible for me to find a good enough source for that; I agree that its a bad edit. Of course, what I said is just mere commentary, and not a justification for my shortcomings .
