Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Sh'Chur. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 05:34, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for deleted Orly Ben-Garti be moved to user space

[edit]

I have drafted a sample request. If you read the links below and agree with the request as stated, then remove the ## before "help me" and save the page. A banner will be put on your page and administrators will be notified of your request. -- The Red Pen of Doom 17:22, 22 August 2012 (UTC) Thank you for your help The Red Pen Of Doom, I have done as you instructed and hopefully it will work.[reply]

I have added below a template that links to many places where you can find published items that generally meet the reliable source definition. It looks like there may be coverage in some French publications, but coverage in English is limited at best.-- The Red Pen of Doom 18:31, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

the user would like the deleted page Orly Ben-Garti moved to her user space to be able to work on it and attempt to bring it up to Wikipedia stand-alone article standards by removing copyright violations and overly promotional language as well as supplying evidence of coverage by third party sources that have a reputation for fact checking and accuracy.

I've adjusted your help tag to specifically say that you need help from an admin. One should be along shortly to help you. Thanks, LegoKontribsTalkM 00:59, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have userfied the article to User:Princessbg/Orly Ben-Garti. However, since it was deleted as a copyright violation, I have also removed the main body of the text (although it can still be viewed in the page history). I have watchlisted the page; if it appears in the future that the copied text has been re-added I will delete it again under WP:G12. Yunshui  09:35, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Yunshui, First of all, thank you for your help! The text that was in Orly ben garti was an original which i copied to the orly ben garti Myspace page and after the Orly ben garti Wiki page was deleted i have removed the original Wiki text from Myspace, therefor the old text is not being used anywhere these days, can i now place it back in the Orly Ben Garti Wiki page? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessbg (talkcontribs) 16:08, 3 October 2012‎

The answer to your question is "no". The fact that material is no longer on public display does not alter its copyright status. Also, I'm afraid I have to tell you that the page has been deleted again. It is illegal to publish copyright infringing material, and the fact that it was necessary to click a link labelled "history" in order to see it does not alter that fact, so the undeletion was mistaken. Thank you for your answer James but now im even more confused than before.... The text is about my lifework as an actress/singer/song writer, all the movies i've been as an actress in + the people i've worked with since 1992 till today + all my awards as an actress.... how can i change that text? the facts are the same facts and cant be changed to something else as this is the correct and exact life work, what can i do beside fixing the mistake made years ago innocently? how can i make sure my page will be back online on Wiki again? Please help.... Thank you in advance

Assuming the text involved on myspace was your creation - can you not donate the myspace text? A simple Text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA 3.0) on the myspace page will allow you to then use it in Wikipedia or your could do it via OTRS - see WP:DCM.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:49, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
May I suggest that you provide some reliable sources which are independent - if you give some examples here, it would make it easier to help you to create an article. Also, these should provide evidence that you meet the notability criteria for Wikipedia. Remember, this is an encyclopedia - it's purpose is not to promote a subject, or to give a subject validation. I have looked for suitable sources (IMDB is not considered reliable as Wikipedia defines it, and social media sites such as facebook or suchlike are neither considered reliable, nor (if an "official" page) independent) - I found a few minor mentions in the LA Times (your name in a list of actors in a production) - no indepth coverage of yourself. Likewise, I could only find similar passing mentions in a few books. For us to consider going further, we need some reliable independent sources. • I am surprised nobody has already mentioned the fact that, if the article was about you, then you should not be trying to get it restored. Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines strongly discourage us from contributing articles about ourselves or other subjects to which we have a close personal connection. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be neutral accounts, independent of anyone that they refer to. If you wish to post material about yourself, then Wikipedia is not the place to do it, and you are far better off posting it at MySpace, LinkedIn, or somewhere of the sort which, unlike Wikipedia, exists for the purpose of letting people post their own content about themselves. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Orly Ben-Garti, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 04:00, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
