User talk:Prevalis/Archive
I'm Riana, and I noticed that you're new, so I thought I'd drop you a note. We do have a lot of users, and are currently working on 6,915,548 articles, so things can be a little intimidating... but don't worry! We love to help out, and we'll try our best to make your stay here as comfortable as possible.
Here are a few links I found useful when I first arrived here:-
You should sign your name on talk pages, discussions and votes by typing ~~~~
; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date. Also, if you don't want to jump right into editing articles right now, why not check out the sandbox? Feel free to make test edits there.
I know it's a lot of information, but there are two more things I recommend you take note of while editing Wikipedia - cite references wherever possible, and avoid allowing personal biases interfere with your editing.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian - I definitely do. Although we all make mistakes, please keep in mind what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or problems, leave me a message on my talk page, and I'll try my best to help. Otherwise, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
We hope you stick around, and make sure you enjoy yourself! Cheers, Riana (talk) 04:50, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
World Bank
[edit]I see you reverted my edits, phallaciously so. The World Bank and the World Bank Group are two different things. If anyone had actually done any research they would know this. Please visit the World Bank's website at www.worldbank.org for more information on that, and the World Bank Group's website at www.worldbankgroup.org for more information on each. I have also reverted your revert. Thanks for understanding. 62.72.110.11 16:11, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
Debate on the correct adjective for Kosovo
[edit]Hi! Based on your interest in the Balkans, you may be interested in the currently ongoing debate on whether we should be using Kosovo or Kosovar/Kosovan as the adjective for Kosovo. —Nightstallion 15:18, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
In this article it is writen how Montenegro has become part of Yugoslavia. Now I from Croatia and Pax from Serbia are having discussion about that. In my thinking we need Montenegrin users to write about Montenegro. Be free to enter discussion on talk page. -—Rjecina 15:23, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Montenegrin Scouting
[edit]Thanks for your edits! Can you help with an article on Vuko Darmanovic? Thanks, Chris 06:02, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Will you be adding entries for Petar Lompar and Andrija Lompar this week? If not, I will add a {{prod}} tage to Lompar. NeilN 16:28, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah
[edit]Yes, I got it in the newspapers yesterday.
Thanks, now we have links we could use for Wikipedia. Cheers! --PaxEquilibrium 11:32, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Answer and Question
[edit]No, no - you misunderstood. +382 replaced +381 on 1st October, so +381 was still valid back then in September 30.
Could you pleas find out how many seats were allocated in Milo's coalition in 2002? I have very huge difficulties, practically an equal number of my sources says it was 30 and the same 31. I need it for the +/- on the 2006 election table. Thank you so much in advance if you can help! --PaxEquilibrium 11:19, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- I bid dull statement that withered into thin air. He won't retire (at least he didn't in September), at list not soon. --PaxEquilibrium 13:05, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar | ||
For a shockingly amazing work at Assembly of Vojvodina PaxEquilibrium 11:25, 12 October 2007 (UTC) |
- It's absolutely brilliant! I have to award you a barnstar immediately! :D --PaxEquilibrium 11:25, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Prevalis, there should be a Cetinje Monastery article - why don't you create one? I'm in a way retiring and can't do it. You look like perfectly up to that task. --PaxEquilibrium 17:53, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree dividing it into two articles - per notability. Besides, we all consider that the Monastery was rebuilt/renewed. Could you merge it please? --PaxEquilibrium 20:34, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Constitution
[edit]It's a great day for Montenegro. I have sent greets to my cousins - and I think I should send over one to you too. :)
However I still point out that we shouldn't be all too happy - Serbs and pro-Serbs in general, as well as most ethnic Albanians, don't like it - which means that probably practically 40% of the Montenegrin population opposes this constitution.
Regarding the language - it's now a giant leap that it is official and it is in a far better position, but keep on mind that it's just a political act - Laws on Education and others still have to be enacted. And I stand by my claim that it should wait before standardization, which will obviously follow right now (several weeks perhaps?). --PaxEquilibrium 22:05, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- The final version that has been adopted has been published with the newspapers, so you'll have to buy it if you can find a way. :)
- However, the previous version (proposed by DPS) can be seen at SNP's website. Those guys are internet-obsessed, they update their website every hour - while the other parties mostly don't touch in a week or so. :))) --PaxEquilibrium 12:21, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'm trying to get the news of adoption of the new Constitution to the main page, but obviously need your help: quickly off to Wikipedia:In_the_news_section_on_the_Main_Page/Candidates. --PaxEquilibrium 12:39, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- I should incline that I do not approve just simply Montenegrin as the official language - PzP's and to an extent SDP's proposal of making both official or even converting them into one (SerboMontenegrin) seemed a good solution - because that one would be only opposed by Serbian hard-core nationalists, religious and extreme conservatives - this version is going to be opposed by the majority of pro-Serbs, even the Civic and Democratic SNP... sigh. --PaxEquilibrium 21:27, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ouch! We made a BIG mistake! The Constitution was actually proclaimed today (formally replaced the previous), several hours ago. Which means it's 20 October and not 19. --PaxEquilibrium 19:39, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Prevalis, what do you know about these crosses removed???Also, what's this new Montenegrin anthem? --PaxEquilibrium 10:14, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Sako and Dado Polumenta
[edit]- They are both Ethnic Montenegrins of Muslim faith from Bijelo Polje, notice how their names are not even Muslim, but Montenegrin. If you have any proof disproving this please let me know.
- Critika, I should've known...ah, if you have any proof of that, hand it over, rather. --PaxEquilibrium 09:33, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Dado declares a Muslim. Sako did too - but he know considers a Bosniak, rather. --PaxEquilibrium 22:46, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Novak Adzic
[edit]I've just read the whole thing, I'm not sure if he was right about the whole thing... I mean, did you read it entirely yourself? Over 60% of his article is wrong. I think he actually doesn't know history at all ;) (for example he writes that Rascia took power over the Doclea with the help of the Byzantines - while Rascia invaded Doclea to push out the Byzantine power that was in Doclea, and not independent Rascia!). Please read it fully. --PaxEquilibrium 12:59, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, if you didn't know - Novak Adzic is primarily politician and then publisher - he's the controversial Spokesperson of the Socialdemocratic Party of Montenegro, and a huge personal fan and admirer of Milo Djukanovic. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 12:36, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I often watch him. For instance he was yesterday at the "Okvir". The three most controversial things about him are his excessively Christian religious zeal, for which he was characterized a "fanatic", like his fierce reaction that SDP should not sign the pre-constitution contract to remove the crosses from the flag and coat of arms as per the desire of Montenegro's politicians of Islamic confession. The Bosniacs today oppose this constitution, because SDP tricked them to vote by not signing the contract. He is also described to have an anti-Albanian sentiment, as he violently opposes that Albanians receive the 2 new municipalities from Podgorica, claiming that Ulcinj is "more than enough for them". His 3rd controversial thing is his well known and bizarre disrespect of retired persons - he considers them an obstacle (!) to Montenegro. When there are complains that pensioners can't live (and that is the truth, unless they insured wealth through illegal means) he constantly yells on press conferences that they are just "boring & complaining like spoiled children". As for other matters, the Serbs also claim he's Serbophobic (his political attitudes and historical brochures), and like sugar on top he's a (note:) self-declared nationalist. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 20:27, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Did you read this? Did you ever see him on TV yourself? Cheers, --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 20:41, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oh and one other thing - when it's about WWII, he's opposed to the Allies and expresses sympathies for the Axis (Nazis) and grossly supporters Nazi collaborators, having to an extent a pro-Ustashi view. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 23:42, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Any links perhaps?
- P.S. check out my bottomost message. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 10:12, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- About the event. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 11:14, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Albanian name
[edit]Prevalis, could you get the IPA for Mali i Zi please? It would be crucially helpful to the article. Thanks! --PaxEquilibrium 12:16, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, thanks! :) --PaxEquilibrium 21:29, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Re: Klimenti
[edit]Origin of the Klimenti is, as with every other clan, controversial. However national & cultural heritage, as well as a source or two, claim that they are from Orthodox Serb (not from the protoMontenegrin Zetans [Zećani]) ancestors. However the clan was mostly albanized, and most members were, naturally, Albanians. As you know for quite a few clans of the age, switches and assimilation between Slavs and the Arbanass were a frequent occasion, hence members of two peoples in a single clan of same origin and cultural heritage! But yes, most Klimende are ethnic Albanians, and the Klimente consider themselves Montenegrins today, I know very little Serbs that can track their distant origin from the Climents. I hope I helped. --PaxEquilibrium 21:26, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- In Vetera monumenta Slavonum Meridionalium historiam illustrantia of August Theiner from 1685 their Serb origin is explained. --PaxEquilibrium 21:46, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MTEL.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:MTEL.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:55, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Pope Sixtus
[edit]The problem is that quite a few users in Wikipedia claim every single Catholic from Bocca (convert directly or by origin or not) as Croats and, like if you recall the Bay of Kotor article, they claim Montenegro used genocide to get it, which is a bit too far-fetched. --PaxEquilibrium 10:22, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Srecko Peric
[edit]Are you sure that this was his name? I know only one Srecko Peric, and that was a Roman Catholic priest, member of the Ustasha movement that agitated for the Holocaust... --PaxEquilibrium 10:24, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Could you please help me figure out what initials were the remaining political parties? I'm missing only a few. I suppose we'll never find out what SSP, GGSS and EPCG were, but SS and KCG seem notable enough. I'm guessing KCG is most probably "Komunisti Crne Gore". How 'bout you? --PaxEquilibrium 10:52, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Now I need help finding the mythic Crnojevics' stag, which became the foundation for the modern Montenegrin flag? There has to be somewhere on the net, I've seen it somewhere. And it regularly hands on the Cetinje Monastery, so it should be a way to get a hold of it. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 14:49, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Kurban Bajram
[edit]...to you too. ;) --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 22:30, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind for now this. How about writing an article of the Islamic Community of Montenegro and writing something about the Montenegrin Muslims? The info is dreadfully low.
- P.S. Just out of curiosity, why are you a fan of Vojislav P. Nikcevic? Cheers. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 22:48, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- I don't remember why precisely, but I got that impression. That especially became odd to me considering his attitudes towards Islam, and the fact that you told me you're of Moslem confession. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 11:50, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Actually, relative subpage links do ordinarily work; they'd just gotten the syntax wrong (when using .. you're not supposed to use a leading slash). —Random832 03:39, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
KoM
[edit]I need an image that shows changes from the 1910 KoM to the 1912, one depicting both before and after the First Balkan War, to be used at the Kingdom of Montenegro article. I see that it's a sort-of standard for all former countries. Do you think you know someone who can do that, because I'm not that skilled with Photoshop? Cheers, --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 12:34, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Re: New Year's
[edit]Happy New Year to you too! I wish you all the best and may you write tons of more articles. :) --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 23:58, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Happy New Year
[edit]BEST WISHES.
why do you think some of them (CoA) are too much?Stefke (talk) 23:44, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
will try. do you know any existing vexillology related page? (sorry for blurrrrred images)Stefke (talk) 00:04, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
yes, I know that one, but I ment in Wikipedia. For flags there are 2 groups of flag related articles: e.g. "flag of X" (general) and "list of X-ian flags" (which is for vexillology ). That is not case for CoA articles.Stefke (talk) 00:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Good. That's the solution.
I think that in existing CoA of MnE page is too much history and needs to be zipped or moved to that page.
Can you make template for that page (List of coats of arms of Montenegro) because I'll very soon take Wikibreak. Stefke (talk) 00:27, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
ok, when you're done, give me the address of that sandbox or whatever.Stefke (talk) 11:06, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for happy new year but because of 1 serbian custom (death in family) for me is not possible to say that. What else is possible to say but that I am Yugoslav (Croat, Montenegrin and Serb) --Rjecina (talk) 16:05, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
good job!Stefke (talk) 19:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC) only to connect those 2 articals like: 'see also ...'
Nikola Petanovic
[edit]I made an article on Nikola Petanovic. He is just one of the countless Forgotten People from former Yugoslavia. It's very amusing to uncover them, no? ;) How do you like the article? --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 17:40, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- I decided to make at the same time an article on both: one opposer of unification with Serbia and one supporter, for the sake of some sort of balance. ;) --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 20:08, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Kosovar independence
[edit]Yep, heard before - however the US ambassador has publicly denied that there is any such agreement. And overall yeah, only Russia, Romania and Cyprus are explicitly opposed to Kosovo's independence, most of Europe (with a few neutral exceptions like Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Montenegro and Slovakia) is in favor of Kosovar independence. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 20:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

{{Kosovo-stub}}
[edit]Hi - a stub type which you created has been speedily deleted as a re-creation of previously deleted material. If you wish to create a stub template or category, please propose it prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. In the case of your creation, however, I should advise you that stub types for regions currently the subject of international dispute or currently seeking independence are very rarely allowed on Wikipedia, as they quickly become the subject of edit-warring - something which causes far more wide-reaching consequences for templates and categories than it does for individual articles. In the case of Kosovo, it has previously been decided by WP:WSS that any stubs dedicated to the area should wait until there is a definite outcome (independence or otherwise) to current political moves in the region. Given that the stub type seems to have been connected to a sopecific WikiProject, might I suggest that a talk page wikiproject specific banner might be a better solution, as it would allow you to rate all articles related to your wikiproject, and not just stub articles. {{WikiProject New Zealand}} is a good example of the type of template I'm talking about. Grutness...wha? 23:46, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Coat of Arms
[edit]Er, Prevalis, that's the Russian Imperial Coat of Arms (also used today for the Russian Federation).
We have the Coat of Arms, I'm searching for the Stag, the one that usually hangs over at the Cetinje Monastery - completely Red with a white double-headed eagle (with no additional elements), spread wings. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 16:51, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Kosovo
[edit]Perhaps you could have a go at stubbing Politics of Kosovo too. For some reason it was nuked earlier ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 17:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
It was only literally an hour ago too. I think it was because of some serious bias which had to be deleted so it wasnt seen in the editing history. Nobody would delete a mussing core article like that unless there was a serious reason to do so. Regards ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 17:56, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Ah thats a nuisance!!! It should be moved to Politics of Kosovo. Many others are republics or whatever but they aren't named like that ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 18:44, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Well there is Politics of the Republic of Macedonia. But the main country article is also named Republic of Maceodnia. The Kosovo article is just Kosovo. Either way you should create a redirect from one page to the other. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 18:47, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Who See? requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 22:43, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
